There was a soft candlelight glow illuminating the scene, on the table was a crisp white tablecloth adorned with delicate lace overlays. Fresh rose flowers in a centerpiece, and Elegant silverware and sparkling crystal glasses were sitting neatly beside each plate. The table is set with fine china and a folded cloth napkin, tied with a ribbon. A scattering of rose petals adds a touch of romance while flickering candles create a warm and intimate ambiance. The ballroom was alive with murmurs, champagne glasses clinking nervously as more and more of society’s elite circled near Roman and Elena’s table, hungry to witness what everyone was now calling the scandal of the year. Roman had expected to endure handshakes, shallow congratulations, and thinly veiled questions about the marriage contract.
