Romantic Novel Reading Novels & Stories

Even so, the whole process feels like a battle, and I am already exhausted by the time I have the books in my hands. I still read romantic novels. There is something comforting about them, even if some of the stories hit a little too close to home. Some of the plots are eerily similar to my own life, while others are pure escapism—beautiful, heartwarming tales from start to finish. Sure, the characters face hardships and tribulations, but what always stands out to me is the love and trust between the couples. It is the kind of love that feels unshakable, the kind I used to dream about. Now, I am not so sure if that kind of love exists for me anymore.

She curled into one of the high-backed chairs near the window, a thick book open on her lap, a dark romantic comedy she’d read a thousand times. The sun was setting in orange and purple across the pages. She told herself she was reading. In truth she was still feeling Roman between her thighs from the shower, every shift of her hips reminding her how he did everything but fuck her. The door opened without a knock. Roman stepped in, closing it softly behind him. Shirt sleeves rolled to the elbow, top two buttons undone, looking too innocent for who he truly was. He looked unfairly edible. Tessa didn’t even look up from her book.

As the rain continued to patter against the window, he couldn't help but admire the way her long hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall of chocolate silk.
