Rory has worked at Sephora at the mall all through college and is leaving to move to New York after getting a job at Dior in their corporate office, otherwise known as her dream job. “Well, you are their favorite employee. It’s going to be hard to replace you,” I tell her as I sip my margarita. My eyes pan the room, looking for Theo and I spot him in the corner talking to some of the guys that played football in high school and one who played in college and I assume he’s giving advice about going pro. His eyes aren’t on me, so I take the time to ogle him for a moment until Rory smacks my arm.

She had been lying to the people who had trusted her, and it was starting to weigh on her. As she was cleaning one of the rooms, she heard a knock on the door. She quickly turned around to see Luna Rory standing at the doorway, a warm smile on her face. "Hello, Jessica," Rory said. "How are you doing?" "I'm doing fine, Luna," Jessica replied, trying to hide her guilt. "Just cleaning the room." Rory nodded and then stepped into the room, her eyes scanning the walls. "You're doing a great job," Rory said with a smile. "We're lucky to have you here."

I said to them. “You know the king?” Harper almost yelled at me. “What’s going on?” Dani asked as she stood in the living room trying not to look at me. “You’re going to have to tell them,” Slade said and I nodded as we walked back into the house. “Tell us what?” Dani asked and I saw slight anger in her eyes but I didn’t really care at that point. “My real name is Jericho Kiran St. Claire, first born son of the king of Scotland,” I began my story.

I finished. Rory’s voice trembled. “Then what will he see?” “A rival.” Darius swore under his breath. Rory shook her head slowly. “No… I’m human.” “You were, we don't know what you are now,” I corrected before I could stop myself. Draven shot me a look but it was too late. Rory’s breathing picked up. “I don’t understand—” “Stop,” Darius said suddenly. We all turned toward him. His head tilted slightly, nostrils flaring.

Not to mention he's one of the kindest people in school... and he's student body president. I mean come on, what more could a girl possibly ask for? Rory is basically our school's 'Justin Bieber'. Which is why I'm always left wondering why he isn't dating... in fact, that's basically what everyone at school wonders. But oh well, maybe he's scared of commitments or something. Or maybe he has too many responsibilities to juggle to even have time for a relationship. It's really none of my business.

“Yes.” “What’s your name?” Theo asked again, voice neutral. “You must’ve forgotten it,” Rory said with a soft giggle. “Back when I saved you, you didn’t ask for my name.” Theo’s expression didn’t change, but inside, something itched. The girl who saved him didn’t flirt. She hadn’t even spoken a word. “I asked you your name,” he repeated—flat, cold. “Rory. Rory Brown. The eldest.” Her voice was soft now, rehearsed.

Josh was the first to flinch seeing me and next was Bree and Layla, followed by Sam. “Good morning everyone, my name is Rory Harrison, the new nutrition and organization manager and I will be presenting my proposal today.” And my eyes finally settled on Declan, speechless he looked at me, his parted but words didn't come through. Horror splashed on his face. I smiled, “Good Morning, Mr Declan.” I greeted, intentionally.

The guns shattered into pieces in an instant, and thunderous explosions erupted. Over three hundred people crumbled before the enemy, their ranks broken and scattered. Blood and flesh flew everywhere. Rory extended his hands, causing lightning to crackle and thunder to roar. "That's Thunder Arts! He's actually a Savant Grandmaster who practices that secret technique?!" Jasmine's face turned ashen. "I am the Sovereign Grandmaster of Thunder, Rory!" Rory smirked. "On the Aston Savant Arts Ranking, I rank 157th! Ms. Smith, don't underestimate me!"

Jessie asked from behind us. Rory stopped walking and turned her entire body so that she could face Zeke and Jessie. In the process, my arm lightly grazed her chest, something that she managed to completely ignore. "Seriously? Do you think I have a hidden jail that I bring bad supernaturals to or something? That I'm going to keep them locked up forever? You guys are werewolves, you know how the paranormal world works." Rory paused long enough to roll her eyes sarcastically as the three of us gave her questioning glances. "I'm not law enforcement, you dumb asses. I'm a slayer."

I replied as she finally let me go to hug Emma. “Hey, firecracker. I missed you.” Rory approached with a cheeky grin and threw his arm over my shoulder. Rory was a handsome guy. He was around six-foot-three with shaggy dark brown hair, a lean yet muscular build, and a smile that could make any woman weak in the knees. His amazing personality only added to his charm. “Hey, kid,” I replied, knowing how much it bugged him when I called him that. He was only a few months younger than me, but I enjoyed teasing him.
