Two hours later: I stood before the Thorne Residence, and glanced at my assistant in annoyance, as he handed me the bouquet of red roses. Red Roses. Right, he handed me red roses. Was I going on a date that he brought me red roses. I asked coldly. “What’s the meaning of this?” Eliot wiped non existing sweat on his forehead as he smiled and answered. “Well.. Boss.. girls like red roses, so..” Needless to say, he would have racked his brain to pick something like red roses. But what was even the need? Even the marigold would work. At least, they had some medical properties. I sighed, it was not beneficial to have any argument right now.

However, before the food was served, the waiter brought over a bouquet of red roses. "This is for Ms. Stafford, sent by one Mr. Pennington in congratulations for the successful art exhibition." Heather did not take the flowers. She told the waiter to send them back. "Tell Mr. Pennington that I don't like red roses." Red roses were Anne's favorite, not hers. She only liked pink ones.

“Tease.” Rojean laughed, happy that she still makes him feel that way- kind of embarrassed though glad at the same time. “Why? Are you getting distracted?” she asked, repeating the same motion with her hips whilst looking directly into his eyes as if seducing him. “Of course, it’s really distracting.” Lucas smiled before pinching her chin. “But I’m still upset with you.” “You are?” she asked with a grin on her face. “Why don’t I make it up to you then?”

Alec couldn’t speak in too much irritation and probably, anger. His eyes were so red, like the color of evil itself. The color of blood and war. The color of death. Yes, red can symbolize love like that of a rose. But it could symbolize many things such as what I have mentioned already.

“Sorry, I’m a bit out of it.” She shrugged, and opening the small door in the gate. She had no umbrella with her, I’m guessing she go out in a hurry. Who wouldn’t when their cousin was standing in front of her own home gate, and staring at her house like a psycho? “Don’t apologize. Let’s get you inside before you catch a cold.” I nod, following her through the door. The walkway is just like I remember, on each side are prize winning roses. Of different colors. Huh? When do black roses exist? I took a small detour from following Alexis, bending over a patch of those strange black roses.

I smiled. Rose had mud covering her clothes, with splashes of water on her top as well. "You should change your clothes, otherwise you will catch a cold." She nodded with a sheepish smile, "I went to collect water from the river but slipped over the rock and fell." I paused but continued stirring again...the river. "Can you add the final petals and stir this? I have some work to do." Rose looked at me in shock and to my surprise, she shook her head in a no immediately, "I can't do that, you shall always complete your work other..."

Sean said before he made a rose appear seemingly from thin air, “A beautiful rose for the even more beautiful Claudia.” At those words Claudia’s expression darkened and she stood up causing her black gown to swirl around her matching the stormy look in her eyes. “What’s wrong? Did I say something wrong?” he said while wondering why Claudia wasn’t teasing him about being corny like she normally would. At that Claudia looked at him and took the rose from his hand but said as she pricked her finger with a thorn, “Yes, a rose is beautiful, but it is dangerous due to its thorns. Like the rose, I may be beautiful, but I am a predator of the night. A monster wrapped in a pretty skin.” As she finish
