Hallie found Austin after the meeting ended. He was alone at the long table, collecting the pages from the argument they had just finished. For a moment, she stood in the doorway and watched him put the two conflicting rotation changes into the same stack. He looked up. “Hallie.” The mate bond tightened before she answered.
