We were there for a while as more people were rescued, they gave us food and water, it wasn't edible, but it was enough. After a few hours, Beta Ryder came forward and called for everyone to gather to be addressed by the king. A moment I had been dreadfully looking forward to. If I ever doubted his kingship or the monarchy before, now I don't. His eyes were red with bloodlust, probably from killing all night. I have never seen that shade of red and black in a pair of eyes before. He didn't need to try before his aura had us all bowing. For some reason, he seemed awfully familiar.

For some reason, his heart clenched, and he added, "She doesn't handle alcohol well. If she starts making a scene later, it'll disturb the other guests, and it'll embarrass you, too. You understand, right, Stella?" Ordinarily, I would've kicked up a fuss by now. But this time, I simply smiled. "Of course. Drive safe." Bryan frowned. It looked like he had more to say, but at the very next second, Roxy collapsed into his arms and draped herself all over him. With her cheek pressed against his neck, she said in a sweet, coquettish voice, "Let's go, Mr. Sable… My body's burning up… I want you so badly…"

'Roxy, wake up!’ Adrian spoke to her as she lay still. ‘Bring the smelling salt!’ he ordered. Roxy coughed after sniffing, and comes awake. ‘What is this stunt you are pulling?’ he asked. ‘Stunt?’ she asked looking around at all the people gathered. Adrian got the message. ‘Leave us, everyone!’ ‘Iris, you should too!’ Adrian said to the shock of Iris who had come to see how Roxy was faring.
