Luke chuckled, “I don’t think we could’ve had a better team this time.” I agreed, “Yeah, we are pretty fantastic.” We all laughed as our warriors fought. With each new group of rogues that appeared, Luke and I were able to destroy them before they even got a chance to fight. Some of the warriors he tore through in the wallway are back on their feet and limping toward the door. I pull my lip back in a snarl as a trio of them stumbles into the room. “GET OUT!” They back away, going pale. “Shut the door, please,” Mom huffs, forcing a kind smile, but her eyes are narrowed with determination and concern as she looks down at Ryatt.

Alpha Draven frowned. "In fact I do not approve of Ryan, but I have no problem with him, neither do I have with your first son. But I just don't like that my two children are mated to your two sons. It's weird and uncomfortable." Mom said but that only made Alpha Draven frown further. "And what's uncomfortable about that? And you're telling me my sons are not the problem, so what is?" He asked, tightening his gaze on Mom. Mom only rolled her eyes and looked away before saying, "Your family really isn't one exciting family." She muttered.

The only thing I need right now is my mate, but he isn’t anywhere to be found. Hunter bobs his head up and down. “Yeah. We can keep them under…” I can’t take it any more as my emotions explode. “NO!!” The door suddenly bursts open, and Blake runs into the room. “What happened? Oh shit I'm not ready to do this again. I reach for Max's beer but he snatches it away. Growling, I look over my shoulder at my mother once more. She mumbles something into the phone before hanging up. "Rae?" she squints her eyes, it's dark and getting hard to see. "What are you doing here?" she questions with surprise as she walks over to us. "Oh, nice to see you again!" She smiles big at Max.

“Wake up, Mom.” Bryan grabbed me by the hair. His eyes spoke of menace. “Why do you keep making risky choices, Carys?” I burst into tears. “Can’t we just talk, Bryan? Please save Mom. She’s dying!” The pool of blood on the floor gathered, and Mom, pale in the face, was out of it. Bryan scoffed, his eyes reflecting disdain. “Do you know how long I’ve been preparing for this day?” His question hung in the air. I was too focused on saving Mom to process it.
