APOCALYPSE QUEEN: LEVEL UP OR DIE
Terra stood near the edge of the granite ravine, sheathing her heavy hunting knife with a sharp, metallic snap. She wiped a smudge of damp mud from her cheek and spat into the slush, her dark amber eyes flicking toward the narrow fissure in the cliffside where the kid had disappeared.
"You two go ahead," Terra rasped, waving a calloused hand dismissively. "I’m staying out here in the high timber to finish my patrol. I'm not playing babysitter to some feral ridge child, and I still owe Rudy two fresh deer before sundown tomorrow."
