In the Arms of Another
A car, unable to stop in time, crashed into the two of them.
I froze in shock.
The driver jumped out of the car, furious and shouting in the middle of the street.
My first instinct was to call Douglas. I dialed his number quickly.
At the hotel, Douglas answered the phone and, without bothering to put on a shirt, rushed outside to the scene. When he saw what had happened, he pulled me into his arms, holding me tightly.
"Ross… he saved me," I whispered, my heart pounding in disbelief.
Douglas held me tighter as we rushed to Ross's side.
