"I see Rowan hasn't given you much information about me, has he?" I frown, the skin prickling with a sense of unrest. "Who are you?" I repeat, my voice sharper now. There is a pause, then the voice lowers, almost like a whisper that coils around me. "Sinclair. Rowan's brother." Rowan's... brother? The revelation leaves me wordless for a moment. Why hadn't he ever mentioned a brother? And why would he be calling me, speaking in cryptic threats? "You look surprised," Sinclair continues, his voice dripping with a mix of amusement and something darker, more sinister. "But don’t worry—I’ve been watching closely. You’re quite an interesting part of Rowan’s life."

"This one won't ruin you—it'll make your life brighter. I guess I no longer have to pick you up from the drains?" A smile flickered across Damien's face, quickly hidden. "Whatever." He shook Carter's hand, but Carter pulled him into a bro hug, patting his back. "Good job, buddy," Carter said, and for a moment, it didn't seem like these two hated each other at all—it was just pure brotherhood. They would fight like dogs, but at the end of the day, they still cared. "I know this doesn't mean much, but I'm sorry for everything. I hope one day we can sit at the same table, telling jokes and old stories."

As if it’s not insulting enough, he stands me up to hook up with a… a freak like you!” My eyes widened. “Heather, Eric is my brother,” I said. “It wasn’t like that.” Heather clearly wasn’t buying it. “Oh, yeah, sure,” she hissed. “You don’t look like a Griffith at all. Despite their best efforts, the oldest and second brothers could only fend off the attack with their blades, unable to prevent the assault entirely. Brody, however, remained composed. “Please believe me. I didn’t know.” “Really,” I scoffed, speeding off faster than usual, my anger boiling over. After a few tense minutes, I finally spotted an abandoned lot and pulled the car over, the engine idling loudly. He continued adamantly. "Do you really think I can't force you? I can even send you back to that pit hole you just escaped from." Brenda smirked, beginning to tap on her phone's screen. "Fine! I'd leave now. But just know I'd be back. If I remembered correctly, we still have some unfinished business, right?" Rowan turned around to walk away but suddenly stopped on his tracks. He turned to her again, a mocking smirk on his lips. "Ah, how about your little brother? Is he finally out of coma? Oh he is. I heard he's having a business tour around the world at the moment."
