The one on the left side was taller, guessing around 6'4". His dark brown hair fell into waves past his shoulders. He had a full beard similar to Saint with the same whiskey-colored eyes. His patch read 'SGT. At Arms'. I assume this was Saint's brother Sin. They looked very similar, except Sin looked more dangerous. Not waiting for Saint, I bent down to talk to Winnie, getting onto her level. "Remember Letha, that works with Daddy?" I spoke to her about the question to help ease her into this. Her little head nodded at me. I pointed to Bear. "This is her brother, Bear. You remember hearing about him?"

His attention flicked just past my head, one brow lifting in curiosity. “Well,” he murmured, “I suppose the cavalry has arrived.” I exhaled once, bracing. “Something like that.” All four of my brothers cut through the crowd like it parted for them on instinct. Damon first, jaw tight, eyes scanning for threats - classic oldest-brother energy. Then Rowan, stiff and unreadable, hands half-curled but controlled. Silas was calm and quiet. Kieran last, gaze softer but still burning, the one who felt things too deeply to hide them.

“Not anymore.” Aria stirs, wary. Careful. “I’m telling the truth,” I manage. “I don’t want trouble. I just… needed a way out.” The knife-quick brother—his mouth twists into a not-quite-smile. “Out of what?” I hold his gaze and say nothing. “Rowan,” the gentle one murmurs, a low warning. Rowan. The name fits him—quick and sharp, a branch that snaps clean. He lifts both hands in mock surrender and angles a look at the first brother. “Fine. We’ll do this your way.”

Sam. He simply flashed his perfect teeth, unfazed by my glare. "You don't have to worry," he said, his voice confident and calm. Standing there in a white singlet and black shorts, his rough, sexy hair messy and undone, he looked breathtakingly handsome. It was infuriating. Why did he have to be my stern, infuriating stepbrother? "I would do you the honors of showing you to your room," his voice laced with sarcasm. "I don't need your favors," I snapped back. He smirked, "We both know you’re lying.”
