Sam stops the car in front of Monica’s house; we drape her arms over our shoulders and carry her into her house as if it were the most natural thing in the world, so that the prying eyes of the neighbours won’t suspect a thing.
Luckily, the door is still open; we settle her on her sofa and remove the blindfold.
“Monica... Monica, wake up,” announces Sam, taking Monica by the chin in a loud, booming voice.
“What?” she asks sleepily, reacting.
“Oh, Sam!” she adds slowly, sitting up with some effort.
I raise an eyebrow and cross my arms; in her supposed trance, Monica moans for Sam as if she were in a different situation.
Sam plays it cool, doesn’t move, doesn’t say a word; he steps back, clear
