"Hey man, get out of the way!" Rademos felt possessed as he shot out an arm and hit the stranger who just spoke with so much force that he flew across the road and smashed into a glass window.

"What are they calling me?" Darius finally let out a short laugh. "The Savage Luna." I froze. I stared at him, my mouth dropping open slightly. I was completely dumbfounded. "The what?" I asked, my voice flat. "The Savage Luna," Darius repeated, and this time he didn't even try to hide his grin. "People are talking about the way you handled Rydan. They’re saying you didn't just kill him, you ended a whole era with total brutality. They saw the way you stood between two Alphas and told them both to back off. They think you're a force of nature, Lyra."

Fuck that prick, he owed them this. “What you doing?” said Jimmy joining him. “Look at this,” Sam pulled a Sony XDCAM from the bottom of the box. The mic cover was missing, but apart from that it was fine. “PMW-300, professional quality, nice.” Sam and Jimmy exchanged a look. Geeking out over cameras felt almost normal. Maybe they could salvage something from this after all. “Come on,” said Sam. “Let’s get out of here.” As they headed for the exit Sam tried to ignore the fact that half the blood had disappeared from the ceiling and the floors.

The device had her clueless because it came with so many guidelines and Alexander kept talking about updates and instructed Samantha to make too many accounts for shit, she didn't even know what for, she was tired of listening. Tugging on Alexander's wrist, Samantha whined, "Give me fun games." She'd interrupted whatever Alexander was talking about now but the man didn't mind, just smiled with a chuckle. "I will soon babe, but you should really use a touch passcode-" "Too complicated. I want the game you have on your phone, the one I really like, and you suck at." "Excuse you but I suck at no games." Just end this.” “I’ll never tell.” Samus’s eyes filled with rage but before he could administer another slash there was an explosion outside. “What the fu-” The door burst open and Penn charged in and tackled Samus to the floor. “What took you so long?” I laughed, mostly out of relief. “I’m sorry I was busy being chained to a tree.” Penn called over his shoulder before he punched Samus. “Did you hurt her?!” “I need the ring.” Samus choked out. “I need to get out of here. I’m miserable. I lost my Zelda and I hate life.”

I let Samson come forward and the two of us go head-to-head, fighting hard, getting our punches in and receiving punches until we both realize that we are equally matched. When we step back, Alpha Liam reaches out his hand to shake mine. “I’m not at all surprised that Reagan’s mate is as strong as you are. I always knew her mate would be strong enough to be worthy of her.” “Yeah, I’m out. If you can almost defeat Dad, I’ll save my strength for another opponent. A vampire royal, maybe,” Xander says, grinning at Asmodeus. “Good luck, son of a Guardian,” Asmodeus says.

Madam Amelia asked. “My plan was to render her powers useless.” I diplomatically said. Though, as I did, I felt the copper dagger I had bought with me. The one I was going to stab into her heart. The real answer, yes, I was going to kill her daughter. Madam Amelia seemed to know this as she nodded her head at me.

The town has this mystic old-style vibe like it's stuck in the 50s. "Code 00-17-1 in Narrow River. I repeat, 00-17-1 in Narrow River." The radio buzzes and the almost robotic female voice of the dispatcher follows. I've never heard this code before, it's in no book I've read. But even so, neither Jamie nor another patrol from the area seems to care. Jamie just keeps driving, as if the dispatcher never called. "What's this code? I've never heard of it." "You know all codes?"

Jacob piped in, “This is Samantha Revious, the head registrar’s secretary.” “Sam for short!” Samantha added, she took Dorin’s hand and pumped it enthusiastically. “Revious?” Dorin asked once more. “Yup, I’m Sebastian’s big sister!” She grinned. “Eh?” Dorin looked surprised. “Then... that guy riding at the back of the car...” “Oh, you didn’t notice?” “No, he was a holding a book in front of his face...”
