The Shadow Effect

The Shadow Effect

"Let's read poetry this evening. The words are so hauntingly beautiful and you will make them just sing off of the page. Here try this." Anders let his eyes wander across the page and read the words to himself, but then the cloaked figure said to him, "Outloud, Anders. I want to hear you read the beautiful words outloud." He read each word with clarity, thinking 'This is such a haunting poem.' "Wind and willow, come take me back to where the worlds meet, and bring me fractured to the sea, let my soul carry me to places and shores where my eyes will never see.

The Lost Angel: Pilgrims

The Lost Angel: Pilgrims

He had updates of Albert - always - as he had on the whole of Highlands. He bathed in the glory of that, counting the minute and hours. He was waiting for something and he never had forgotten it - now it came. The unicorns reported to him the other night the news about the Magicians and the Sirens being involved in the hearing. Boldon was again closed like the other times before. Something was in the air and Highlands would never be the same again. He faced Ray when they reached the sand castle. It was just a portal to Rudolf's room. Jade Island had thousands of those and Rudolf was too clever enough to create a passage too insignificant like a sand castle. The sea waves would wash it later

Siren and Wolf

Siren and Wolf

Without you, in our lives, we feel quite poor, The place where you will feel free, Is with your family beneath the sea, We may not look like people you know, But if you come, we'll show you what you don't know, Come take my hand down to the sea, We'll take you to your family, Come now and touch my hand, Place your legs deep within the sand, A tale shall grow from your skin, You'll be free with us again. You don't know what you are, We've called you every night from afar, Come and see what it's like beyond the shore, There are oceans and worlds for you to explore... When the sirens are done singing I do as they ask. I put my legs all the way down into the sand. I sink into the sandbar all the

Master of Life and Death

Master of Life and Death

"From our ranks the storm and cloud unfurled; one step taken into the martial world, and time like wind drives every boy to man. Empire and power? A laugh, a passing plan. For life itself is but a drunken blur, a fleeting dream no heart can hold for sure. "Sword raised high, through ghost-cold rain I ride; white bones like mountains loom on either side. The worldly tide rolls on without a sound, and people drift like water, round and round. I sigh to see how fate’s long scroll is curled. How few return from the vast martial world. "Everyone, how's this for a poem that I just wrote?" Cassian asked, "Did you really come up with this poem?" Dunley replied shamelessly, "Yup. I just came up with

CHASING MONSTERS

CHASING MONSTERS

She told herself this was what compromise looked like. This was marriage. This was love. Ever squealed suddenly. “Mama! Look!” Pandora smiled despite the heaviness in her chest and stepped onto the porch, shading her eyes. Ever stood inside the sandpit, hands lifted, face flushed with excitement. “I’m building a castle!” Pandora laughed softly. “That’s lovely, sweetheart.” Then she stopped. The sand wasn’t collapsing. It was rising. Not slumping or spilling, but forming clean, impossible lines. Walls stacking neatly. Towers holding their shape without support. The grains moved with intent, responding to Ever’s small hands as though they were listening.

Sandcastle Kisses

Sandcastle Kisses

Our sandcastle was gone. I could see it crumbling under the incessant pounding of rain, melting back into the beach. It was no longer beautiful. It was ruined. Destroyed. The fact that it too was going away broke my heart. Nothing gold can stay... I picked up my feet and started to run again, needing to find a release from the pain.

The Luna He Can't Forget

The Luna He Can't Forget

We molded the sand into intricate structures and laughed. As we continued to build our sandcastles, our laughter echoed along the shore. Dante's hands skillfully molded the sand, forming delicate towers and intricate details. His eyes sparkled with a childlike wonder, mirroring my own excitement. I carefully arranged seashells, adorning our creations with the treasures the ocean had gifted us. The soft sound of the waves provided a soothing backdrop to our conversation. "Can you believe how intricate these castles have become?" Dante marveled, his voice filled with awe.

The Luna Choosing Game

The Luna Choosing Game

Since mistakes weren’t tolerated, I felt like I couldn’t be myself. As we came around to the side of the mansion, I saw a massive sand sculpture right there on the beach. Bridget ran to it, then threw her arms out, and spun around. “Elva!” she called. “Look what I made you!” Elva gasped, then tugged me forward. We rushed toward the sculpture, which I realized as we drew closer, was an elaborate sandcastle. It was multi-leveled, with towers stretching even taller than Elva. Each tower had winding stairs down the sides that led to a main, large building with carefully carved windows. Every detail was meticulously designed and crafted, even down to the brick façade that covered the entire sculp

I hope Piper is shown stronger in the next plotline. Portrayed as someone worthy of the Luna title. Taking down the underground, as the Luna, with her love and the King on her side should be exciting. Love kickass female leads. Finally the story is moving forward.

can someone just let me know if Piper gets it back? I don't want to spoil the story for anyone starting so I am hoping to keep the comment generic, but honestly this felt drawn out and slow paced from the beggining and seeing it has over 600 chapts I will drop it. there isn't enough plot for this.

Shadows of the Past

Shadows of the Past

The lines of the poem she wrote kept echoing in my mind: “With feet lost in the fine sand I’m heading for the shore, shy and tentative To introduce myself to her, as if I were a stranger To meet her cold wave that intimidates me Like a great doctor sends me on my way The golden ball, the charming one With its flaming arms Warms the angry waves.” Angry, enraged, the sea awaits me With its waves lost in the horizons My deepest sorrow she bears on her arms And loses it in the distant skies.

A Wonderful Kind of Love

A Wonderful Kind of Love

“That's a bummer, huh?” They spent the next hour or so building the sandcastle, and by the time they were done, it looked like the Taj Mahal. It was at least as big as a dog house, with two stories and intricate windows engraved in the walls by Ethan. “I need a picture of this,” Laura said, pulling out her phone. “Wait, hold on,” Ethan said, hopping up from the sand. “I'll take the picture with you and the kids next to the castle. It'll be a family picture for you.”
