My body trembled, but Sir Darenn held my hand and looked me in the eyes. He's telling me that nothing wrong will happen to me because he's with me, so I tighten my grip on him as well. But she had barely moved two steps when that figure appeared in front of her again.

Xavier’s eyes widened as he slammed down the phone with a loud "bang." He stared at them in disbelief, asking warily, "Who are you people?" Sarah spoke leisurely, "Because of your autopsy report back then, I became a target for everyone's hatred and endured cyberbullying for months. Don't recognize me now?" "You? You! You're that Sanders family—!" Dr. Xavier became even more flustered. "Dr. Xavier, let's cut to the chase. Give us the real autopsy report," Sarah said, her eyes glinting coldly.

She looked down at her chest as she started to fall to the floor. “That is for taking my family away from me.” Sarah whispered in her ear. Sarah stepped away as Aria fell to the ground. She wiped the blood from her knife and placed it back in the sheath on her waistband. Sarah looked up at Lela, examining her briefly. “Raina, your wolf is absolutely beautiful.” She said coming up to touch Lela’s fur. It seemed like such a simple gesture to do in the middle of a fight. As Sarah stepped away, we made our way over to where Brett and Emma were, but they had quickly dispatched the vampires and were not in need of any help from me.

The world around her was still, the result of a spell of silence. Sarah stormed into the library, throwing a book of her own. It was odd to see her daughter behaving in such a manner, doubly so to see her rant but not hear it. Elizabeth finished transcribing her current page and set her quill down. Stoppering the vial of human blood she had been writing with, she snapped her fingers, breaking the spell. "-and to top it all of, some asshole hacked our website and my profile picture is a giant dick!" Sarah kicked the book, launching it across the room. "Fuck, fuck, fuck!"

Sarah eyes glazed over. “You two are speaking nonsense. Why cant you just be happy for me? You are quick to believe Vivian is dating Caleb of all people but you don't believe me when I say Nathaniel wants me genuinely? I am beautiful and I can attract anyone.” Sarah hissed. “You see everything is working for my good. Vivian got Caleb and I got Nathaniel. Who knows he could be the Alpha of the pack as well and I, the Luna.” She smiled, feeling proud of herself.

I look at Ethan and Conner with Emma and run after Sal. When I caught up with Sal, he was loading Sarah in the back of the SUV and I ask him, “Where are you taking her?” “She needs to feed.” Sal says to me, and I decide I am going with him and jump into the front seat. “What do you mean she needs to feed?” I asked him confused. “By the looks of things, Sarah is a healer, and it took everything she had in her to heal Emma. She needs to feed on a demon, and I know just where we have one stored.” Sal tells me as he drives back towards the packhouse.

My thoughts were all over the place Saturday. I’d barely slept after I’d gotten home. All I could think about was him – Xander – and his promise to come to me again. I was nervous. I was excited. What did I want to ask? I guess I should start with the things I know about vampires, or think I know. I’ve read Dracula; huge fan of The Lost Boys; big into Buffy the Vampire Slayer – but those were all pop-culture references, and so far, none of that seemed true: Xander didn’t wear a cape, he hadn’t turned into a bat that I’d seen, and his face didn’t get all bumpy when he bit someone.
