I was going to pass out… “Get her back inside!” Joey suddenly growled and shifted into his huge brown wolf. I reeled back, a silent scream stuck in my throat. Instantly, I was taken back to that day. Screams rang in my ear, as I watched my mother being torn apart. Blood splashed on my body--- I could feel it! It was on me! My mother’s blood was all over me. Running down my face and soaking through my clothes. Looking down I saw my hands were soaked in blood.

My eyes opened wide. “Ah! Alexander!” I screamed again. He rushed in. “What? What is it? What’s wrong?” I looked down. My legs shook. My hands touched the space between them. It was wet. I looked down at what that was. Red. Blood. So much blood. “No!” I screamed. “No, no, no!” Alexander dropped the bags. He ran to me. “Sara? Sara, what is that? What’s happening?” I looked at him with tears in my eyes. “Blood,” I said. “There’s blood. I’m bleeding!”

He thought he had already received the worst news possible, but as his eyes fell on the first conclusion, a wave of ice water crashed over him. “Subject's bloodline is critically damaged. He is sterile.” Augustine stared at the word, the color draining from his face as a roaring filled his ears. His hands trembled as he flipped to the second page.
