Novel & Cerita Saving Nora Book Amazon

She sat on the bed, feeling a little lonely now that they were gone. She took a deep breath and tried to relax, telling herself that everything would be okay. But she couldn't help but feel a little worried about Aiden. Nora's mind flashed to the financial records. She stood up from her bed and walked to her drawer, as she began to search for the extra copies she had made from the snapshots. They were gone, and Nora was so sure she had placed them in the drawer. She decided still, to check other places and after scattering her room for close to two hours, she still found nothing.

Neither of then knew whether she wiuld be coming after seven years ago or she was going to come back soon enough. Elinda and the spy, whom people came to find out her name was Ana, were loathed by eveyone. Everywhere they went to, they were knocked aside as if they were some dustbins and chased away from people’s presence. All the pack member’s beileved, Karen had decided to go away because of them. Harriet, Peter, Kelvin and Patrilia, suck themselves into magic books and anciet libraries looking in there was anywhere written about raising then long gone souls.

It was a movement I knew well by now: turn her body, support her weight, adjust the balance, keep her head from falling forward. When I finished, I straightened her shoulders and pushed the chair out of the bedroom. Nora paid me one hundred dollars a day to care for the babies and for Merliah. I saved every bit of it. Every bill. Every cent. Because it would help me leave the city when the time came. Five more days. Maybe less. She had told me Ravok's ring was worth a fortune, but that I couldn't even think about selling it until I had crossed the border. In Atheon, anyone would recognize the crest.

“How can I help you?” Tessa asked curtly. “Mr Wentworth has sent me to get something from his safe. He said you know the password,” Nora said. Tessa sighed. She thought it was weird that Aaron would still send Nora after what she told him but she was the only assistant around so she didn’t think much about it. She walked to the bookshelf where there was a hidden safe. Since Aaron said she knew his password, she tried to key in his birthday but it declined. She then tried her birthday and it got accepted.

She was finally halfway through the page when a familiar shadow fell across her table. “Well,” Nyra’s voice said lightly, “this is unexpected.” Elara looked up to see Nyra standing there with her bag slung over one shoulder, eyebrows raised, lips already twitching like she’d just uncovered something delicious. “What are you doing here? I thought you didn’t have any classes today” Elara said, blinking. “I came to return a book, and get another one,” Nyra said. Then she paused. “Correction. I came to return a book and I just saw Nathan Temple walking out of this library looking far too pleased with himself.”

Finally, I stood and went straight to the clinic. “Is Nora here?” I asked when I entered, finding Amanda in the exam area with a woman sitting on the table, her wrist out. Amanda didn’t glance up at me as she took the woman’s pulse. “I’m with a patient,” she said, but nodded toward the door at the back of the clinic. “She’s in the library.” “Thanks.” I opened the door and took the narrow, winding steps two at a time. The creaking of the wood must have alerted Nora to my coming, because by the time I entered the small, warm attic, she was standing and facing me, her arms full of books.

That night, while the town of Oakhaven slept under a thick blanket of fog, I packed my small duffel bag for the second time in my life. Nora stood at the back door of the bakery, holding a brown paper sack filled with fresh bread, dried fruit, and a thick woolen blanket. She pressed a small envelope of human cash into my palm, squeezing my fingers tightly. "Take the midnight train heading west," Nora whispered, wiping a tear from her cheek. "It goes deep into the mountain towns. Wolves don't like the high silver mines up there." "Thank you, Nora," I sobbed quietly, throwing my arms around her neck and hugging her tightly. "Thank you for everything."

I said, because truth likes to have witnesses. Nora arrived in the kind of flurry that announces someone who has run across decades to hand you the next chapter. She was younger than I’d imagined and had the same observant tilt in her head I’d seen in Maggie’s handwriting. Her hands held an old ledger bound in thread so worn the fabric looked like a map of storms. She unwrapped it like it was a relic and slid it across the table with a reverence I found disarming.

Nora's steps stopped for a moment as her gaze met Axel's eyes. "Good job, Nora!" exclaimed Axel, pointing his thumb at Nora. Looking down, Nora took a seat in her chair. Her hand reached for her book to cover her face from the right side. Nora suddenly felt embarrassed to look at Axel's face. This made Axel look confused by Nora's attitude. "Nora, what are you doing?" From behind the book, Nora smiled without any desire to look at Axel. The little girl knew; surely her white face was currently turning pink. ***

If Nora truly had proof, then everything she had worked for—her future as Luna, her power, her life—would be ruined. She spun on her heel and stormed out of the market mall. She had to find out exactly what Nora had been up to, and she didn't want to take chances. Immediately, she contacted Rogues through her link device. Rogues find Nora and ambush her. Strip her of everything. With her final words she smiles let me see what proof she will have to show Alpha Alex. *****”””””””******””””””””””””””
