Saving Nora Book Amazon Novels & Stories

In less than twenty minutes, she arrived at the hospital as she literally ran all the way to Rufus's ward with so much speed. She got into his ward and barged in without thinking twice, she met Rufus, his parents and also his friends. Rufus was dressed and was about to be discharged. "Seraphina, did something happen?" Rufus asked when he noticed how she was sweating and breathing heavily. "Yes! Nora got kidnapped last night by some strange men,I got knocked out last night only for me to wake up this morning. I found this envelope on the couch this morning, I think the men kfgt it before they left with Nora last night.

There was a victorious smile on her face, and she waved a yellowed diary at me. "Guess what's written inside, Nora?" she asked. She flipped the pages, rain drops splattering the yellowed pages. "March 12, 2005. Day eighteen of being sold to a club by debt collectors. Today, a man named Mr. Hart paid my ransom. He said he wanted me to be his mistress… I'm grateful he saved me, but… I have a family. I have a wonderful husband and daughter. Turns out our family's debt was because of this man. He wanted to own me, and I was foolish enough to be grateful to him!" she read.

She looked like a survivor who had just crossed a battlefield. "I need help, Amy..." Nora's voice faltered, a sound of pure despair. "Warren came after me, and he won't stop until he completely destroys me." She took a trembling step into the room, looking back as if she expected the devil himself to be following her. A wave of nausea hit me. Nora looked at me, and for the first time, I saw raw, naked desperation in the eyes of the woman who had risked everything to save me from Warren’s hands.

--- Eager to meet with Dylan Reyes in person, Nora booked a flight to Ashport for the following afternoon, telling no one, to avoid any complications. She packed her bag and ordered dinner from the hotel restaurant. While she waited for it to arrive, an unknown number lit up her phone. She answered. "Hello?" A familiar voice came through. "Nora. Your grandmother's dying. She wants to see you before it's too late. Come home." Eleanor? Has Grandma taken a turn? Panic flooded her voice. "Her condition's always been stable. How could this happen so suddenly?" Eleanor's tone turned mocking. "You really have to ask? The stock collapse, thanks to you the shock of it sent her into a fainting spell."

“That bitch. She’s trying to make me look stupid.” Nora straightened up and held out her hand. "While you're figuring it out, go ahead and send the transfer. I really need to leave before the stores close." I turned and looked at her in disbelief. She looked back at me, completely unbothered. "Nora." I called, unable to conceal my annoyance anymore. “Are you being serious right now? Your man just got dragged online and you’re worried about shopping? Really? Can you just read the room for five seconds?"

One week later – Pacific Crest University, California The library was quiet. Too quiet. Nora walked in, hugging her books to her chest, scanning for an empty seat. “Finally… peace,” she muttered under her breath. She turned a corner and collided straight into someone. Books scattered across the floor. “Oh! I’m so sorry!” Nora dropped to her knees immediately. “I didn’t see you—” She reached for a book. Paused. Her eyes lifted. Her heart skipped.

“You think you’re strong? We’ll see tonight. You don’t know yet, Nora. I have a way to make you surrender completely.” Then Anthony went out and locked the door from the outside. The sound of the lock closing could be heard. Nora sat quietly in the corner of the room. Her neck was red from the chokehold. Her eyes began to well up. But she didn’t cry. She just stared at her phone, which lay shattered on the floor. “Liam… I hope you still heard my voice earlier…” Nora then crawled slowly under the bed, retrieving the rusty nail she had hidden there a few weeks ago. Her grip was tight. “If I have to die, I won’t die without a fight.”

She took all the bills but one and carefully placed them in her zipped pocket . Thinking it was a smart thing to take something warm for the night , she grabs a duffle bag from Amanda's closet , intending to put in the blanket , magazine and the box of cookies inside . I gripped his elbow and whispered, “And she’s already here, anyway.” She looked at me. She’s not so strong and bitchy anymore. “I have the book that you’re looking for.” Ryden scoffed while we all had the same reaction, shock, except him. “I don’t believe you.” “It’s in the trunk. You can call your witch to verify the authenticity of the book.” She hadn’t finished talking, I already texted Zarah, Theia, and Ren with the same message. “Step forward, Nora.” She did as she was asked to do.

It had shaken her. Before I could push further, Nora turned around, her face bright. "Can we go to the bookstore when Mommy is better?" Sarah immediately latched onto the change of subject. "Maybe," she said, ruffling Nora’s hair. Nora’s excitement drowned out the tension, but I wasn’t fooled. Something was wrong. And I was going to find out what. * I pulled my phone out of my pocket as it vibrated against my thigh. Neville’s name flashed across the screen.
