Je n’ai pas supporté cela et j’ai jeté la soupe sur sa tête, la laissant se répandre sur elle. Je lui ai déclaré froidement : « Écoute, Marius n’est pas le seul fils de la famille Tellier ! » En apprenant cela, Robin, mon mari assez puissant pour régner sur toute la capitale, a enroulé ses bras autour de ma taille et m’a dit avec une expression glaciale : « Ma chérie, les rumeurs disent que tu étais la maîtresse de mon petit frère ? »

On n'était pas obligés de laisser Mlle Céleste engager des renégats pour littéralement déchiqueter l'enfant de Luna… » « La louve de Luna est restée endormie depuis le début de sa grossesse, ce qui l'a privée de ses capacités de guérison. Les guérisseurs disent qu'elle pourrait ne pas survivre. » Marcus est devenu froid, mêlé d'impuissance. « Je ne m'attendais pas à ce qu'ils soient aussi brutaux. » « Monte la garde. Plus tard, je lui offrirai toutes les ressources de la meute en guise de compensation. » Les portes du centre de soins se sont refermées lentement, coupant à jamais mon amour pour Marcus. Quand je me suis réveillée, il ne restait que la douleur lancinante dans mon bas-ventre, et un amas de chair et de sang…

Finalement, j'étais morte à cause de complications pendant l'accouchement et une hémorragie. Lorsque j'ai rouvert les yeux, j'ai découvert que j'étais retournée à ce jour fatidique ! Cette fois, ni mon enfant, ni moi, ne compterions sur lui !
