It’s the place where the torture takes place. The paddles, the electric chair and the bed of torture. A bed that was draped in the colour of blood. At the centre of the room, with his back to the door, stood the devil himself. Dressed in an almost identical suit to that of the scorpion, the devil seemed like a person who was ready for a party. But that thought will undoubtedly be thrown out of the window when the Devil’s expression becomes illuminated. The devil’s green eyes were dark in anger, and he had his hands clenched into fists.

He clicked his tongue in irritation, not even bothering to look up. “Can you stop disturbing me?” he snapped. “What is it now……” He turned. The moment his eyes landed on Laim, the color drained from his face. His mouth fell open, fear flashing before he could hide it. Slowly, Voss stood up, forcing his shoulders straight, trying to mask the terror rising inside him. “What is the Devil of Hell doing in a place like this?” he asked, his voice strained. Laim didn’t answer. His gaze was locked on Alina.

How dare they let their voice reach outside the room? “You both have guts to talk sh*t behind my back, hm?” he coldly said, ignoring the shock as if a dirt in their faces. He smiled, not reaching his eyes, a warning to their inappropriate display in a sacred golden room, “You're ignorance to even secured the place for damn talk-shit is what's make you both a powerless. Bare in mind, you're not the devil here, it's me!” He looked at the young man, a very man of Denever who immediately recover from shock.

I retorted and stormed into the building. On arrival at the main room, the demon glared at me in its most gruesome manner. She knew I could see her and probably thought she could scare me. In return, I stared back at the creature with a sinister smirk, wondering who had brought such an unclean famous spirit into the house. Not like I was a clean spirit too. It was a dark cloud with various colour marks on its surface like a painting canvas, dripping glitters to the lady who was causally sipping coffee, with her back towards me.

"I keep my eyes on those I trust the most. Now tell me, where is the pen drive?" “I don't have the pen drive,” gasped the man, struggling to breathe. David sneered. “Oh, really? You're not very convincing, Parker.” With a swift motion, he punched the man in the face, causing blood to gush from his nose. Parker winced. “I swear, I don't have it,” he pleaded. David's eyes blazed with fury. “You think you can lie to me? I'm the Devil. Tell me where it is.”

The sound jumped int‍o my chest, and m⁠y‍ body sud‍denly moved. I hit my hand over m⁠y mouth to hold back a scream‌. My elbow suddenly hit a metal mop that ‍ leaned ag‌ainst‌ the crates.

”Nice flowers.” Wendy commended as soon as Rebecca entered the room. Rebecca on the other hand didn’t pay attention to what was said. She was lost in a world of her own thought. She didn’t see the face of the biker, but from the sound of his voice, she could tell who it was. It was a voice she would recognize anytime, any day. The voice of the devil who haunts her in her dream. A pat on the shoulder brought her back to reality. She jerked and the flower slipped from her hands, but Wendy caught it before it could fall to the floor.

Every door I pass is a question. The villa has become a fortress by design and a cage by choice. I walk past the servants’ quarters where a woman folds bedding with hands that tremble just a little too much. I pass the wine cellar that still smells faintly of blood and varnish. I pass the study where the maps are spread like battle plans. Each room carries the echo of the day that changed everything; the echo keeps me walking, keeps me awake, keeps me dangerous.
