Oscar commented and when I dared to look up at him, he had a sinister smile on his face. "Anyway, we are having this pack meeting to talk about our merging with the new Alpha. It's getting quite competitive and intense in this werewolf world of ours. Any pack without power will be eliminated without a trace, and with packs like Blue Moon and Eclipse, we. stand. no. choice." Oscar began, pointing out his words one after the other. The whole place was silent and I could feel the fear of the members. Nobody wanted to be eliminated because they came from a weak pack.

"Yes, it was fun. But I don't think I can just forget about this, about you being a Lycan prince." I sighed. It was always the same with Omegas. They were so scared of us, even when we were trying to show them kindness. But I couldn't blame her, not really. The Lycans had a reputation, after all. "I understand," I said, trying to sound as reassuring as possible. "But you don't have to be scared. I won't hurt you." Scarlett looked up at me, and I could see the fear still in her eyes. But there was something else there too, something that made me think maybe she wasn't completely afraid of me.
