Bill nods. “If it did, your mom would’ve stopped loving me a long time ago.”
I swat his arm, laughing. “Not wrong.”
Collin giggles. “So… how do you know?”
Bill and I exchange another look.
How do you explain something like that to a six-year-old?
“Well,” I start, folding my legs beneath me, “love is kind of like…” I pause, thinking. “It’s like when you have a favorite song. And no matter how many times you hear it, you never get tired of it.”
