**Serena POV** I stared at the stack of articles Clara had compiled. Twenty-seven lies. Twenty-seven coordinated attacks on my character, my motherhood, my sanity. All orchestrated by Vivian. My hands didn’t shake anymore. They’d stopped shaking around article fifteen, when the cold fury settled in and replaced the hurt. Now they were steady. Deadly steady. “What do you want to do?” Clara asked from across my desk. She had a bandage on her arm from where Vivian’s nails had torn skin. Battle scars.

But as I held her, her body stiffened, her breath pulsing for a minute, eyes closed as if she was in some kind of trance. I shake her, “Are you okay,” I asked, dread crawling on my skin. “I have a vision of a woman covered in a cloak, calling my name and muttering some chants,” Serena stiffened in my arms, her hand clutching mine. “What did she say,” I whispered behind her.
