I stand near the edge of the cleared courtyard, my hands resting on my hips, looking up at the western perimeter. It has been exactly seven days since we broke ground. The sheer, relentless manpower of the Blood Moon builders, combined with the desperate, grateful strength of the rogue men, has pulled off a miracle. The massive sinkhole is nothing but a memory beneath a thick slab of concrete. Above it stands the fully framed, completely enclosed residential wing of the new Shadow Ridge sanctuary.
