CHAPTER 21 "So, Shantelle will you be my girlfriend?" Dylan asked with a cheerful smile. Shantelle's countenance dropped immediately and she shook her head negatively. "I'm sorry Dylan, but no." Dylan furrowed his brows in confusion as he stared at her. “Why? I thought we both like each other?” Dylan asked with a sad face. “I know we both like each other Dylan but your brother likes me too. What’s gonna happen? I don’t want you two fighting over me or fight because of me.” Shan replied nervously. She twitched her fingers playfully and stared at her toes.

Steve asks, at first seeming gentle, then turning to a more aggressive tone. "None of your buisness." Shantal replies, just as angry. "I wanted to test my project and it worked. It will wear off soon." Steve looks at her in shock, not believing what he just heard. "Where's the girl I fell in love with? what happened to her?" Steve says, shaking his head and turning back, clenching his fists as he walks out Shantal sighs and starts to walk after him, but something stops her, leaving her alone to boil in her anger. She scoffs and turns back to her project, now finished, and putting on a blue suit of armor with a ball of plasma in the middle and coils on the back.

At the same time, she was looking at the two people having fun on the bed too. Santiago held Shaney in his arms, telling stories. Shaney disliked the stories told by others, but she liked the ones Santiago told her. What could Raeleigh do? Raeleigh watched for a short time and turned back to lie down on the bed. But she could not fall asleep anymore after she woke up with a jolt in the light of a nightmare.

She didn't even stop or turn around even when her mother called her name. I couldn't help but shakes my head again when Shan was no longer in front of us. But not because she looked at me sharply but because I felt like I was a villain in her life. I'm like a female villain in a novel who wants to separate Shan and Phil because of my prejudice toward the latter. Shan and Phil are the main protagonists and I am the villain.

Shanty looked away for some seconds as if she was having a change of heart but she suddenly flew my way and stabbed me with the bane.

I somehow found myself reading back this book to try and get myself back into the story to get the motivation to write more of the sequel and it was shocking how many times I cringed reading this book back! I do forget that I finished Shy when I was 16 years old. Six years on, I think it's finally time to rewrite and update this book so I can read it without cringing so horribly at 16 year old me. I hope by rewriting this it will get me back into the story and I can continue to write more updates for Defeated. In the meantime, enjoy the rewritten version of Shy called 'Shy (Rewritten)'! It will be updated bit by bit and will not be uploaded all at once! But I hope you like it!
