I shook my head, “I—what? I didn't do anything! We were in a crash, Yasmine, a wolf—” Before I could finish, Yasmine lunged forward, grabbed a fistful of my hair and yanked me up to my feet. The sharp pain in my scalp made me gasp. “That little stunt you pulled at the game!” She hissed right into my face. “The official's kid! They followed us back, Trixie! The Northern pack retaliated!” My heart stopped. “No... it couldn't have—” Yasmine shoved me back down to the ground with everything she had. “It did!” She screamed, her voice cracking as a fresh wave of tears tracked through the dirt on her cheeks.

She had seen it, or at least sensed it, earlier. And that wasn’t the only thing that unsettled her. The next photo—taken just moments later—revealed something impossible. The claw marks, once random and chaotic, seemed to form a symbol. It was faint, almost too faint to notice, but Lysandra’s trained eyes couldn’t miss it. Reagan thought, fighting the urge to groan out loud. They had put the Claw Mountain pack and the Silver Paw pack in the exact same clearing. Xander and her father had drawn up the lodging maps weeks ago, grouping the allied packs close together for convenience. But somehow, nobody had caught wind of the catastrophic, soul-shattering drama that had just gone down between them.

“Look beyond our borders and tell me what you see. Take your time.” Clayton turned to where Gabriel is looking, after accepting the devise and then placed them over his eyes, and to his surprise, he found himself staring down on what could be a map of most of the packs of the wolf-dom. He could even see the Lycan capital and the castle not far behind. It was already late in the evening but the lights from the territories had lit up the land below him. He could even point out the location of his pack. He suddenly stood still at his sudden realization.

I frowned. Without another word, I left the hospital and back to the pack house. Scarlett joined me in the pack office, dropping another file on the table. “That’s the map to the Night Shadow pack house. The red prints are spots where there’s mostly danger and cunning rogues, the green sprints are where there’s protection of different form or spots to keep cover from danger, the purple prints are shelters where you and the pack members going with you can stay in for the night, while the gray prints are trees with clothes in them, if anyone decides to shift and needs new clothes.” She explained.
