The wind howled through the narrow, snow-choked streets of Snowridge, as if warning anyone who dared to venture out into the deadly storm. Asha Frostheart, her face partially hidden beneath a fur-lined cloak, moved swiftly through the thick snowfall, her white wolf companion, Ghost, at her side. The blizzard's icy bite pierced through her layers of clothing, but her focus remained unbroken.

My fingers are on my chin as I crouched and looked at it. The cover or the sheath was silver with a few pints of gold, I don't understand the engravings etched on it. Because of my curiosity, I held it and released it from its sheath. Unlike other sword, its blade was bluish and silver, the handle was wood in color and the cover was glass. It was not as heavy as it look. I lifted it up and swayed it... Imagining I was a samurai fighting some bad guys. I chuckled.

A gray wash of light splashes over the feral shifters as they fight with the shadows in the parking lot. Frost is on the sidewalk just outside our room as smoke filters away from him. His knife blade is still jammed against the concrete where he defeated the shadow who almost killed me, and the blade is broken from how hard he stabbed the thing. He tosses his broken weapon aside and climbs to his feet, then casts me a single glance that I can’t read before he sprints into the parking lot to join his brothers.

He opened his eyes slowly to see me. He stared at me with a furrowed brow, he groaned in pain. He was going through pain. "I apologize for coming here unannounced," I said and he sighed. "I'm Nova Frost, the daughter of Denzel Frost the Alpha of the Snowcap pack who died seven years ago," His eyes widened in shock when I said that. I understand that he was surprised to see Denzel's daughter in his palace. Not just his palace but his room. "Denzel's daughter?" He muttered and I nodded. "How did you get here?" He managed to ask.
