My shadows writhed faster, sharper, hungrier.
And something inside me snapped.
The voices didn’t vanish. They blended. They became one roar, one scream, one command pounding through my skull.
ENOUGH.
The shadows burst outward, a violent wave that shook the stands. People stumbled, screamed, some still chanting, some fleeing. The ground beneath my feet cracked in jagged lines, spiderwebbing across the arena.
Resin shards exploded off my chest, my arms, my shoulders, scattering like black glass. The embalming was gone. The storm was mine.
