Novel & Cerita Shattered Stars

Sage's POV The shockwave rippled through the car, shaking the frame, rattling the windows. The vehicle shuddered but held. Good thing it was built strong, military grade, designed to withstand more than just a bumpy road. Debris rained down on the roof, clattering like hailstones, and I ducked my head on instinct, waiting for the sound to stop. What was happening? We were under attack. Here, in broad daylight.

The same way morning sunlight streamed in through the trees, all broken and golden and almost pretty enough to hide the sharp edges underneath. Almost. “Where is he?” I asked. Marcus said, “At the packhouse. He moved back in once things got bad enough for the medics to need him close.” A pause. “He stopped shifting six weeks ago. His wolf can’t keep up with it anymore.” Those words landed heavy. I knew what it meant up close—bond deterioration so advanced that the wolf side starts slipping away. First shifting hurts. Then it’s nearly impossible. Then it’s gone entirely. There’s nothing fair about it.

They looked shattered—splintered jewels cast across a broken sky. Still, within their shattered light, she found a promise. A promise to rise again. For though Orren had fallen, his sacrifice had not been in vain. The stars might break—but in their breaking, they gave birth to fire. And fire would burn until the very end.

Veda's tears fell like rain, her heart shattered into a million pieces as Adyant's words echoed in her mind: "Hate, disgust, and contempt. I feel them every time I see your face." She wandered aimlessly, lost in thought, until she found herself in the garden. The stars above twinkled like diamonds, but her world felt dark and empty. She was surrounded with peace and calm but only she knew the chaos which was pacing with high intensity inside her mind.

*To the woman I ruined but never ceased to love. Killian Blackwood leaned against the balcony railing of his penthouse, city lights shimmering in golden haze behind him. None of that beauty crossed his eyes. They were grave with desperation, churning with the fear that he was too late — again. Isla Carter's voice still resonated in his mind, low and trembling, at the back. *"I don't trust easy, Killian. And when you broke that. it wasn't just my heart you crushed. It was me."*

Then, with a cry of pure pain and love, I slammed the blade into the box. CRACK! The sound was like a mountain breaking in half. A massive shockwave of white light exploded from the box. It didn't burn; it felt like a cold wind blowing through my soul. I felt my red wings dissolve into mist. I felt the heat in my blood vanish. The silver scar on my chest turned into a regular, pale mark. The Star-Breaker shattered into a thousand pieces of dull lead. On the glass screen, the gray dot of my home world suddenly flared back to a bright, healthy green. The harvest had stopped. The people were safe.

Eeeeeeeee. I fell. I fell through the floor of the world. Through the darkness of the Void. My stomach dropped into my throat. The wind tore at my skin. I landed on a plain of white ash. Thump. The sky was bleeding. I looked up. The Shattered Moon was no longer silver. It was a deep, clotting crimson. The fragments were moving. Grinding against each other with a sound like tectonic plates screaming. GRIND. SCRAPE. They weren't orbiting anymore. They were collapsing.

It can decimate the entire warehouse in an instant! Violet kept screaming. "Are you insane? That means you won't be able to survive as well!" Daniel exclaimed, "I never planned to survive from the start! Kevin's the reason why my life is ruined! I want him to die with me no matter what!" At that moment, Kevin rushed up to Daniel and began beating him up by punching him repeatedly. He might be a forensic doctor, but he hung out with police officers all year round and picked up some moves from them.

My cloud was broken when a strong, smooth voice commanded, "Stop!" My eyes flit open and my heart stutters. My God, did I mess up? London stares at the both of us, an unreadable expression on his face. I messed up, didn't I? "What's the matter?" Jackie sasses, a brow raised in his direction. "I don't need to hear anymore," he replied with a shrug, "You both made the cut." "That means?" I ask unsurely, narrowing my eyes. It means you're both in," he answered with a small smile, "Welcome to Crash Course Rebellion."

"This is the Realm of The Broken Stars. This is where all the mighty people from the river of time trained and honed their swords to the extreme." Danial froze, his brain barely registering what he had just heard. Realm of The Broken Stars? The river of time? His thoughts swirled in a mix of awe and disbelief. This place, barren and desolate, with crumbling dark structures scattered under a sky teeming with stars, was where legendary figures had trained. Ancient ruins lay half-buried in the ground—once proud monuments, now reduced to forgotten shadows. He could almost hear the echoes of their battles, whispering in the still air.
