She Took Him, I Took Their World Novels & Stories

“Not of losing you. Of the world realizing how much it wants you.” She stopped, turned to face me, and kissed me hard, urgent, grounding. “Let them want,” she said against my mouth. “I chose you.” Under the moonlight, with blood on my hands and her heartbeat steady beneath my palm, I believed her and I knew I would tear the world apart before I let anyone take her from me.

To the feel of her hands in mine as we lay together at night. They had no idea who they were messing with. They took what I loved most. And I was going to tear the world apart to get her back.

"She's not mad at you. She never said anything bad about you. And she did leave a message for you, Chester, so listen up. She said to tell you she had seen the world and didn't love you anymore. She also said she had learned a lot and wouldn't be a bother to anyone." After I said it, I sighed again. I knew that would only hurt him more, and it did. The despair in Chester's eyes was clear. He looked like he was falling apart.

“I may protect the world. But I will never abandon you.” Her breath caught. She reached for my hand, squeezing it gently. “Then don’t leave me behind again.” “I won’t.” We stood, side by side, watching the city below. Somewhere, alarms would rise. Somewhere, shadows would move. But here in this moment we chose each other. And I knew Whatever came next, I would change the world before I let it take her.

I whispered, a tear finally breaking free and tracking through the dirt on my cheek. The massive Alpha let out a fractured groan. He closed the distance, sweeping his heavy arms around my slender frame and pulling me flush against his burning chest. “I’ve got you. I have you. You’re mine.” “Yours,” I gasped, burying my face in the crook of his neck. It was a raw, feral explosion of repressed need. He didn't just hold me; he consumed me. Lifting me effortlessly from the mud, he carried me deeper into the woods, finding a sheltered, dry alcove beneath the roots of an ancient, overturned oak.

I had cooked countless meals for her, done all her laundry, and waited for her to come home for countless nights. When I thought it all over, I realized those five years felt more like a dream. It was a dream I had willingly lost myself in. I took a deep breath and let out a chuckle. “I can give you what you want, but I have a condition. I want a divorce and a fifty-million-dollar settlement. Once I get the money and the papers are signed, I’ll do the heart transplant. I’ll give you Randall back.”

"He took her away from me… from our world… from everything." Tears fell down my cheeks. I didn’t know why. But I felt… like I lost something. "I left everything," he said slowly. "The pack… the world… the power…" He looked straight at me. "And I searched for her." My heart… was screaming now. "Until I found her." "And she fell in love with me… all over again." My breath stopped. The room… started spinning. "Glacer…" I whispered, my voice shaking. But… I didn’t understand.

It was what had kept me up late at night, drowning in guilt. When I saw him, the world suddenly spun off its axis, and my balance swayed before I reached out to grab the table. ”May I have your attention!” Lady Lockheart exclaimed. ”Today marks the day that my son, whom not many of you have met, joins the world as Alpha of the Lockheart Pack. It is also the day that he takes a wife,” those last words were spoken with affection in a way that twisted my insides.

she ran her hand over his new tattoo again. “It’s true,” he whispered to her. “It was all I thought when you were taken. If I lost you, or them,” he placed his hand on her stomach, “I would lose all that makes me, me.” Rebecca smiled. “I understand the feeling. Life without you was worst then being kidnapped. I don’t want to ever have to live without you again,” She reached her arms up wrapping them around his neck when he bent down to make it easier for her. “You won't have to,” he wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her.

Submitting. He knew what he had to do. He finally looked at his daughter, her ocean blue eyes, just like her mother's, looked backa rhim, blinking. His heart constricted thinking of what he was going. How could he blame this innocent bundle of blood and flesh for something it wasn't even aware of. Right then, he took a pledge for her, that he shall give his life to her. He was going make her what she was meant to be. The woman who shall bring the world to its knees, with the tip of her sword, the woman who shall slay the world.
