As Zayla’s mom swooped down toward the ground, her magnificent wings unfurled like dark sails. With a fierce motion, she snatched another demon from the air, her long, sharp black talons slicing through the thick air. In a ruthless twist, she tore its head clean off and ignited the remains in a furious blaze. After the remnants burned away into nothingness, she pursued more foes, leaving a trail of much-needed destruction in her wake.

I had to move fast. I turned through the pages of the spell book with shaky hands until I finally settled on what I was searching for. “Thrakos, Demon of the Underworld, Lord of Hell,” I whispered, my fingers tracing the forbidden verse. “He who commands the forbidden flames of the devil's domain,” my voice grew louder, desperation etched in my eyes, "I call thee, Thrakos.
