Theria giggled and trotted off to say high to the crew. As they entered the training area a man wearing a stag skull helmet greeted him. He smelled like pine and the forest, and he looked like a huntsman from the middle ages. Slung across his back a Dragonuv sniper rifle and modern compound bow complete with arrows. “So the whelp finally arrives. The name is Herne the Hunter.” “Warren Vandal, a descendant of Troy,” He held out his hand and hoped the sniper would take it. A smile appeared through the thick beard, “The queen didn't tell us who you were. She just said you would be joining the team,” His voice remained friendly and even. “How is the eidolon?”

Lifting the documents in my hands, I only get Helades’ eyes to darken, and I don’t know what his fucking problem is. “My IT guy,” he says dismissively, my heart breaking because it sounds as if I never was a damned wee bit more. “Theodore Baxter,” I add with a nod, clasping the docs under my arm while my words must have triggered the mountain of a guy to skyrocket out of his seat. ‘Mate,’ Kevin mumbles, and I scrunch up my face, scoffing back at him. ‘We are not supposed to call people that.’ “This is Alpha Hunter. He leads the pack, which generously grants me asylum,” Helades explains, but I nearly overhear him as I’m getting bedazzled by the gorgeous hulk.

" Malakai smirked when he thought of the answer. "We're ghosts baby." Malakai responded and Eden wanted to laugh, but she was so confused at the same time. "Huh? The fuck do you mean?" Eden said and looked up to see a mischievous glint in her boyfriend's eyes. "I have someone, a hacker, his name is Rhys. He'd remove everyone's DNA, their information and everything there is about them off the systems of the world. When you joined the agency, he did the same. In short, we don't exist little one." Malakai said and Eden's eyes widened. She never knew the extent to which Malakai could go.

She dialed a number she knew off head and called. "It takes great talent and skill to veil great talent and skill. Little Lotus, how is the brighter side of the world?" A crooked old female voice answered the phone. "Only psychopaths and manipulators can achieve hiding their talents and skills Elder Hoshi. Everything is going as planned thank you for asking. Oh, but a Hian Ji attacked me at my home and knows everything about me. I thought I died and my existence was erased with you and the other Elders' help. What's going on?"

He needs to back off and leave me the hell alone. I start Sally up again, turn on her air, and pull onto Cactus Road heading east to I-17 south. I then take Dunlap east to 7th Avenue, turn left and backtrack north to Hatcher. It's the quickest route. Terry the Fairy's office is off Hatcher on the side of a strip mall in Sunnyslope's Wendell Police District. It's how I know Terry. This is the district I worked. There are some decent areas in Sunnyslope, but it's mostly known for its eclectic crazies. I say eclectic because where else can you find a large community of homeless individuals with animal companions. Not just dogs either. Mama Kane has a goat and Cucumber Bill has a desert tortoise

It was a pathetic and undeniable craven existence but it was how they were winning the war. Dave let out a sigh. "No. He used a HG blade." I nodded. A brilliant man named Henry Gomez spent his life developing a UV spiked, but essentially silver based liquid that could be applied to any metallic object, leaving a coat of active poison that would kill both shade and host upon entering the their shared body. Something in perfectly balanced formula temporarily imprisoned the shade and as long as the wounds you inflicted on the human were mortal, the shade shared the same fate. The HG liquid had become as precious to us as light bulbs. It was hard to come by at the best of times, especially out h

My mate, Alex, had a childhood friend named Emily who was a healer. When she discovered that I was a highly sensitive person, she volunteered to put me through what she called 'desensitization therapy.' The first time, she told me I needed to learn to control my emotions, so she locked me in a noisy bar's storage room for an entire night. The second time, she said I needed to overcome my tactile sensitivity. She drenched me in ice-cold water and forced me to stand in the freezing wind for three hours. Alex was present every single time. Each time, he told her, "Thank you for all your hard work, Emily. I know how much you're doing for her." Then came the banquet, where she poured an enti

“I trust you. Not them.” I step closer, resting a hand on his chest. “This isn’t just any witch. It’s Delaney. And she needs help.” Before he can argue, Kyle walks in, half‑awake, rubbing his eyes. “What’s going on?” Aaron opens his mouth, but I beat him to it. “We’re going to Hallow’s Edge,” I say. “Delaney Warren called.” Kyle’s eyes widen. “The Delaney Warren? The one who disappeared?” “Yes.”

he whispers. I look again, trying to get a location on where he is. “Is that … is that Landon and Lila’s room?” “I think so,” he says. “Do NOT approach, Hacker!” Raptor says in the earbud. I totally forgot we were connected to them. “Venom, Intrigue, and Hellfire crossing the northern border of the pack,” Venom says. “We’re almost there, Hacker. Do not do anything stupid!” Raptor says. “He’s here, Raptor. Even if we back out, he could come for us. Better to be on offense than defense,” Hacker murmurs.

That is the price of thirty-five years of being a battery. I look back at the pod. Hale is still tapping. H-N-T. H-N-T. H-N-T. His eyes are focused now. Locking onto mine. He knows I'm here. Knows who I am. The son of the man he destroyed, standing in his crypt. I move back to the terminal, searching for the interface controls. There. A command line. OPTICAL UPLINK: ACTIVE. I can shut it down. Sever the connection. Stop the trading.
