She scrubbed her hair with the shampoo, working the suds through her strands. The warm water rinsed away the shampoo, leaving her hair feeling clean and fresh.

He also washed my beard with shampoo, almost as long as my hair. I didn't make bubbles. He put on more shampoo and rubbed. After he's done rinsing my beard, he squeezes shampoo into his palm and rubs it into my head. It doesn't bubble either. Then he squeezes more shampoo and rubs it into my head.
