Jumping Ship After He Steals My Job with Her

Jumping Ship After He Steals My Job with Her

"Of course. I'm just not going to work at the office anymore. If you have any good projects for collaboration, feel free to reach out anytime. Let's make money together." He let out a relieved sigh. Then, he carefully completed my resignation approval. Just as I was about to take my things and leave, the office door creaked open. Gracie excitedly ran in, holding a massive stone carving shaped like a horse. "Matty, why did you leave the team outing so early? Everyone else spent ages in the souvenir shop! Here, I specifically had someone bring this back for you. I heard it can bless your career and bring smooth sailing."

MAD END'S DECEPTION

MAD END'S DECEPTION

“If it’s not a battleship, we can board them even from this boat.” “Are you mad?” Aktaeon snapped. “We’d be dead before we got close. Supply ship or not, they don’t travel without archers and spellcasters.” A movement made them all pause and quiet. Gildeon felt the wind shift, pushing away the mist. Spellcaster magic, no doubt. The silence spell around their boat held firm. Every breath was shallow, every movement measured. As the view cleared, golden streaks from the night sky reflected in the water, mingling with the moonlight. Even the creature from before had stopped singing.

The Rejected Healer's Retribution

The Rejected Healer's Retribution

The Shifters used their strength to haul massive slabs of salt from the Barrens, while the remaining Iron-Kin-now master welders-fused the crystals onto the ship's hull. Leo and Sarah developed a "Magnetic Harness" that let Kael and Lyra sit at the center of the ship's bridge, their collective resonance acting as the "glue" for the salt-armor. The ship no longer looked like a vessel of war. It looked like a jagged, blindingly white comet. It was the Star-Skater, a chariot of salt meant to challenge the gods of the void. The departure from Earth was silent. There were no cheers, only the weight of a planet holding its breath. As the Howl cleared the atmosphere, Kael felt the Sun's presence-no

Bound By Magic Or Fate? ( book one)

Bound By Magic Or Fate? ( book one)

Zander looks at Camille shocked; unsure what to do as Willow moves forward and takes Camille’s head in her hands. “Stragulum scutum mentis et magia, donec mens est libratum iterum,” she mutters repeatedly, Camille screaming as she tries to escape Willow’s grasp, feeling her magic disappear as Alaric drops to the floor almost gracefully. Willow steps back, Camille staring at her. “What did you do? Where did my magic go? You stole my magic!” She screams and lunges forward to grab Willow again, stopped by Zander who moves in front of her as a sort of human shield.

 Magic in the Moonlight

Magic in the Moonlight

I didn't have the first clue and a small whine escaped from me as I tried to figure it out. Derek understood my dilemma, "Just relax, take a deep breath, and concentrate hard on being human. The magic should do it automatically." I took a deep breath and tried to picture myself as I looked in the mirror. I put all my will into that thought and concentrated on becoming human. It took me a long moment, but I felt the world begin to melt and shimmer around me. I ended up crouched on the table completely naked.

Aurora and the Heart of Magic

Aurora and the Heart of Magic

AURORA’S POV I closed my eyes and focused on the place I had seen in my memories and tried to teleport there. A few minutes later I had fallen on the ground, drenched in sweat and panting with exertion. My magical powers weren’t enough to penetrate the dark shield. There was only one way now… Teleporting to the sanctuary, I took out ‘The Heart of Magic’. I shivered at the currents of power coursed through me by just holding it.

REBIRTH: This time I will be a Witch!

REBIRTH: This time I will be a Witch!

"Merpires? What is that? Is it like a combination of mermaid and vampires put together as one?" [That seems like it.] Nero answered in an affirmative manner. On the other hand, it was a good thing as well that the cruise ship was equipped with magic that could be activated within a short period of time because upon realizing that something was off, the cabin crews did not hesitate to trigger the magical array installed in the premises. Everyone was sure caught off guard by the sudden attack from the merpires. However, as soon as they realized the crux of the situation they dive into action right away. In a blink of an eye, the ship was cloaked with a light barrier barring any sound from the

Alpha Erik

Alpha Erik

It would take a while to adjust to being the one who took orders on our secret outings instead of giving them. "Meet back here when we're finished," "Got it," I muttered before turning away and heading for the ship at the first dock. The closer I got, the better I could see all the intricate carvings on the vessel's sides. A mix of swirls and stars, I swore I saw them actually move. I blinked at them before shaking my head and looking up at the statue of a siren that was mounted to the front of the boat. A hum of magic radiating off of it, something ancient. Its presence brushed up against my own.

Mrs Magnolia
Don’t let the price of the chapters fool you, these are the longest chapters I’ve ever seen. The price is well worth the amount you’re receiving. One of the best books yet, not only does the author do a wonderful job telling the story but also keeps you intrigued the entire time.

Love how this story is written. I have read the entire series and I can say it is a whirlwind of emotions. Alpha Erik is the first of the five book series and it stole my heart from the start. Definitely worth the read! Big chapters too!

Destined By The Goddess

Destined By The Goddess

“Listen, you have nothing more to fear here. You are safe. Deja smiled at him, reached out to kiss him on the lips. And to hide my anxiety. She stopped believing in assurances of safety long ago. Nobody knows what might happen. No one can protect her, neither her husbands, nor the Blessed One herself. That is life. “Better tell me where you were today,” Bery turned to the table and almost licked his lips. - I'm terribly hungry. “Well, we walked along the shopping streets, walked along the pier,” the girl changed the subject easily. “I have seen mage ships. You know, they're bigger than yours. Bery chuckled as he washed down the roast with wine. -They use many spells to lighten the weight of

The Pack's Vampire

The Pack's Vampire

The Concordia, Twelve Hundred Years Before The bow of the ship was carved into the shape of a ferocious bare-breasted woman, her sharply pointed vampire teeth displayed by a savage snarl and her twisting hair blowing out around her in exquisite detail. “She is beautiful,” Sigrid exclaimed in awe looking up as their rowboat skirted the boat. “I did not see her… Or was it another ship?” She looked at the other ships anchored in the bay around them. Like ant-trails across the water, the rowboats transporting passengers and supplies wove through the waves to the other vessels.

I didn't realize just how alluring an ancient vampire could really be until I dove into Talen's past and had my heart broken and stolen by the depth of soul in this character. Everleigh has such a gift for creating these characters with so many layers you can't believe they're not real.
