The mist tightened gently around my waist, drawing me a fraction nearer to her shimmering form.
“You are more than what they made you,” the goddess whispered through the light. Another glide of warmth across my stomach. Lower. My knees nearly buckled. Heat spiralled through me, pooling between my thighs, spreading like a fire I had no words for - not fear, not pain, not confusion -
Awakening. Something blooming that had never been allowed to bloom. The goddess raised her luminous hand toward me, palm open.
