Ilia stepped forward. Her voice rang across the arena.
"I claim victory."
She reached down, her fingers hovering just above Helena’s chest. Closing her eyes, Ilia let her magic stir—not with fury, but with clarity. A pulse of glowing energy lit her palm as she reached into Helena’s spirit, past the body and bone, into the tether that bound her to the Hollow.
Helena gasped, jerking as if burned. Her body arched, but Ilia held her steady, unmoved.
