Maya's Pov I woke up to someone jumping on my bed. Again. "Merry Christmas! Get up, get up, get up!" Sophie was worse than a five-year-old on Christmas morning. She wore pajamas with reindeer on them and a Santa hat that kept sliding off her head. "What time is it?" I groaned. "Seven. Come on, we open presents at seven thirty. Family tradition. No exceptions." She bounced out of my room, leaving me alone with my messy hair and complete lack of holiday cheer at this ungodly hour.

I'd taken countless forms of transport and walked miles, suppressing my fear while passing through a forest to get to him. However, all I'd gotten in return was a local telling me there wasn't any ancient tomb in the vicinity. She adds already heading for the kitchen. Within thirty minutes Nina had put the stuff for Santa out on a Christmas plate that Mandy gave her yesterday and she was tucked up in bed while I read her a book called Once Upon a Magical Christmas and she loved every moment of it and so did Josh and Riley. Yep, that's right. The guys sat on the bottom of her bed and listened to the entire story like big children and I swear that the pair of them were almost sleeping their selves by the time I had finished and so was Nina.

"What story do you want to share?" Eden cleared his throat dramatically, and the hall fell silent, eager to hear his words. "Once upon a time, there was a brave wolf who fought against the darkness. He was small but fierce, and he had two powerful parents who taught him how to be strong!" Laughter erupted around the table as he spun his tale, embellishing it with wild gestures and exaggerated expressions. I couldn't help but smile, feeling the warmth of love and laughter envelop me.

The parade wasn’t long. After a few more floats, some horses, a couple of clowns, and some classic cars, Santa was spotted coming around the corner. Lorelei and Anson giggled and shouted, jumping up and down. All along the sidewalk, children clapped and waved at the big man, some even shouting their Christmas wishes.

I remember begging him for a story when he came in to tuck me in almost every night. The book was filled with lots of short stories, all of them about werewolves. I flipped to my favorite one, Little Red Riding Hood. It was about a young she-wolf who was taking her grandmother some food goods. Her grandmother lived in the forest oddly enough, instead of a pack where the little girl lived. When she got to her grandmother’s house and knocked on the door, a male-wolf answered the door. As soon as their eyes met, her wolf recognized him as her mate. It turned out that her grandmother had gotten hurt while out and the wolf had found her in distress, carried her home, and tended to her wound
