I Left with Nothing but Myself

I Left with Nothing but Myself

From somewhere above, I heard the soft flutter of doves taking flight. Free from the shadows of the past, I could finally walk toward true happiness.

I Live For Myself

I Live For Myself

After multiple similar suicide attempts, Ivy's threat no longer work for them. "Get down now. It's embarrassing when others know about this." Mike frowned, growing extremely annoyed with Ivy's desperate attitude. "Dad, Mom, are you going to let them insult me?" Irene was fed up with Ivy's desperate attitude as well. "You don't love yourself. You keep threatening us with your life. We have had enough." They knew that blindly indulging her would only boost her arrogance. She would only get more and more arrogant. Ivy looked at Mike and Irene, as well as Keith who looked disgusted. She had made her decision. She looked down at the air mattress that was already properly set up by the firefighter

The Wallflower And The Alpha's

I didn’t want them to see me like this. A wreck. Weak. Nothing. A shell of an empty person. “I am enough”. I kept repeating in a whisper. “I am enough.”

Beast Mate

Beast Mate

My father always said that the wilderness lives in me, bringing storms and raging winds through my skin for the world to feel. So I become the wilderness itself. I gather all my strength, all the storms inside me, all the blizzards and wind. The feel of power rise in me, energy filling my body once again. I jump to my feet, ignoring the crushing pain in my left thigh and brace myself for what I am about to do. I will most likely get instantly killed by this fucker, but it's better than all of this shit. And well, I do a lot of stupid shit when I'm angry. So, going against all my instincts, I bare my teeth, push myself forward and jump on blue eyed monster to rip his throat out.

I Forgot Myself

I Forgot Myself

I stared at the pictures that were appearing as she spoke. “Why are you showing me all this?” I asked. “Everyone that you see here, is the reason you are who you are. These are the people who held the crayons and filled your mind with beautiful memories, rage and anger, rejection and low self-esteem” she explained. I remained silent trying to make sense of everything she was saying. I never understood what was going on because I was with the strange lady in that strange place and I was in flesh but at the same time it felt like I left my own body somewhere.

Dear Stepbrother

Dear Stepbrother

Dear K, You can't possibly understand how I feel about you Because I don't even see how these words could translate it I don't know what to name it or how to address it So I’m not even going to try to describe it There is a gap between my brain and my heart And no adjectives in the world could ever fit * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Dear K, To say that I think about you all the time, Would be the understatement of the century. I spent so much hours in the night, Replaying each and every memory. And I spent so much hours in the day, Thinking and wishing for a different identity. If only I could be anyone else but me, Then maybe we can have diff

I just finished reading the book now and I must say I have enjoyed every bit of it. I couldn’t put it down once I started reading. I so loved Kara and Ry’s love story. Lots of laughters and tears but loved the happy ending. I hope there is a sequel.

This book has been one of my favorite books from you author. The love story of Ry and K is amazing. I would still read them from time to time and not get bored of their story. I love your writing especially on a romantic love story. So many emotions, laughter and tears.

I'm an Outsider in My Own Home

I'm an Outsider in My Own Home

In fits and starts, I wrote about the quiet bitterness of those on the margins of society and the moments they were made to feel invisible. One day, I typed out, "In that lavish estate, all the applause and spotlight belonged to them. I was nothing more than a superfluous ornament—fit only to stand in the shadows and watch in silence." That post went viral without any warning. Within moments, tens of thousands of comments flooded in. Countless people wrote that my words mirrored their own feelings of being abandoned by their family. As I read those comments, I suddenly felt like crying. It wasn't because the post had gone viral, but because I finally realized just how many people out there w

Second Life: I Only Live for Myself

Second Life: I Only Live for Myself

Thank you for never giving up on yourself, Yvonne. I truly felt like I needed to express gratitude toward myself for never giving up on myself. I gazed at the blue sky outside the exhibition hall and held the hands of my husband and son. I was filled with immense gratitude, as every single one of my days ahead, having broken free from those awful people, was going to be incomparably brilliant.

Behold Who I Really Am

Behold Who I Really Am

And I had the lives that needed me to save them. That was enough. The evening sun streamed through the clinic windows and fell across me, bathing me in warm golden light. My gaze was steady and bright as I walked step by step toward my own future. Wolfsbane could poison the body, but it could never poison a determined heart. My new life was just beginning. And those who'd looked down on me, who'd hurt me, would be left far behind. All they could do was look up at my light.
