And headed straight for them. Chilling horror ran down her spine, but in the next moment Samantha almost fainted from horror - Leah screamed. Loud, heart-rending and piercing. Turning around, Sammy barely had time to make out a strange silhouette in the moonlight, like a wolf, when her friend yanked her arm with all her might and shouted hysterically:

The sight before Lisa was both haunting and macabre. Two lifeless bodies lay sprawled on the forest floor, their contorted forms telling a tale of violence and death. She approached cautiously, her steps hesitant, unwilling to disturb the grim tableau before her. The moon's feeble light cast eerie shadows, painting a ghastly portrait of the lifeless figures. Lisa's heart raced, her mind racing to comprehend the ghastly scene unfolding before her eyes.

Evie whirled around, her heart hammering against her ribs. A hulking figure emerged from the darkness, its form vaguely humanoid but twisted and grotesque. Its skin, a sickly gray, seemed to pulsate with an unnatural light. Two glowing red eyes stared at her with predatory hunger, sending a wave of primal terror surging through her veins. The creature let out another growl, a sound that scraped against Evie's sanity. It lumbered forward, each step resonating like a hammer blow on the stone floor. Evie scrambled to her feet, her back pressed against a cold pillar, her mind racing for an escape.

"I know we need to leave. But would you mind if I...?" "Take your time," he said, rising. "I'll be in my room. Come for me when you're ready." He left, and I was alone with the quiet and the heavy book. I slid it closer, its stiff cover groaning in protest. The first page I turned to held a chillingly precise ink illustration of a "Silent Scourge." The text described a skeletal horror with unnervingly long, scythe-like claws. Though deaf, it could sense the faintest whisper of mana, possessed blinding speed, and had vision that far surpassed any mortal's.

I don't take it likely with people that come close to what belongs to me. "Nooo! Ah!" The voice cried out as he was being thrown into a pit full of pythons and scorpions. All his body was swollen up and dribbling liquids. "Nooo, Ahhh!" Chris kept crying out from his dream. His body was all covered in blood. "Wake up, baby," Isabella called on to him and began shaking him. "Please wake up. What's happening to him?" She cried out when he wouldn't budge. "HE'S BEEN TAKING TO THE DARK REALM," the spirits of nature said.

Dela’s lips spread into a sinister smile. “Mel, help me, Please!” Audra screamed. I looked around frantically. “It’s not real. It’s not real.” I chanted to myself. Squeezing my eyes shut, I covered my ears, shaking my head. Audras screamed pierced through my covered ears. My eyes shot open. A disgusting creature stood before me, taking the place of Dela, it's back facing me. It was covered in spikes. Puss-filled sacks covered its body. It’s armed long and boney. Its claws crusted with blood. The smell of rotting flesh filled the air and a sour taste settled on my tongue. Its hair was patchy and oily. Its skin grey.

It would fix me in an unblinking stare while its black lips curled into a sinister sneer. I would try to look away, but find I couldn’t move as a sense of dread washed over me. Then, as soon as it appeared it was gone, replaced by an image even more horrific, that of someone I loved dying a gruesome death while the creature’s high-pitched cackle sounded in my head. My father, my aunt, my mates, my friends. The victim changed every night but it always ended the same, with me waking up screaming with the all too real scent of blood still in my nostrils.
