My Stepbrother, My Ruin

My Stepbrother, My Ruin

"I'm proud of you too, you know. For everything you've become." "Thanks, Mom." "You're going to be an amazing wife to Ryder. And someday, when you're ready, an amazing mother." The mention of motherhood still stung a little, the ghost of the baby I'd lost never quite fading. But it didn't hurt the way it used to. Now it was just a soft ache, a reminder that some losses stayed with you even after you'd healed around them. "Someday," I agreed. "When we're ready." We stopped for coffee on the way back to the airport, sitting in a corner booth and talking about everything and nothing. Mom's new job managing a boutique hotel. My latest article about making quantum physics accessible to middle sch

These Reckless Vows: The Billoniare’s Bride

These Reckless Vows: The Billoniare’s Bride

Her eye twitches again, and this time she’s unable to keep the annoyance out of her voice when she says, “I never expected you to defend a murder.” “You shouldn't have expected anything from me at all.” I retort, “We don't know each other.” She doesn't reply to that, only gives me a look that assures me we’re not done here, then turns to Leonel, his grey eyes narrowed at her, as she says to everyone in the room. “My mother Mary loved stories.” she began, “possibly more than she liked people. She had this obsession with happily ever after’s and when I was little I indulged it, content just to listen to her speak.”

I feel Mr Sinclair saw through Ava's fears. He was being a gentleman at first, but I'm not sure what he's going to turn into in the next chapters, so definitely, I'm going to find out. Loving this. Kudos to the author.

Oh my God I thought her boyfriend was a good person when she mentioned he was not good at kissing, I did expect him to be a Jerk. I'm hooked already. Just the prologue is enough for me to add this book to my library.

The Pieces She Left Behind

The Pieces She Left Behind

he said. She nodded slowly. Didn't push. That was the thing about Jade — she planted the question and let it grow at its own pace. She'd learned that from their mother, who'd learned it from necessity, raising two kids alone in a house in New Haven where the heat worked inconsistently, and the love didn't. "Okay," she said. And passed him the bread. He thought about the footnotes on the train home. The real version — the one with the footnotes — went like this:

My Son's New Mother

My Son's New Mother

"But spouses should share hardships and joyful moments together. When Victor needed her most, she chose to leave. What gives her the right to come back now that he's successful? "Ms. Lloyd shamelessly clung to him again, this time as a nanny. To avoid traumatizing the child, everyone was told Ms. Lloyd was the family's nanny. "I've tried so hard to be a good mother to Tony, yet he rejects me so. Only now do I understand how difficult it is to be a stepmother, how hard it is to reach a child's heart.

My Mother, My Murderer

My Mother, My Murderer

My mother, Samantha, believed I was born a liar. Because she was deceived by my father's sweet words in her youth and abandoned after giving birth to me and my sister, Mia, she harbored a deep, bitter hatred for lies. She begged a witch for two magic rings. The rule was simple: if the wearer lied, the ring would glow red and burn them with magic. Mia's ring never hurt her, even when she broke a vase and blamed it on me. But if I simply said, "I'm thirsty," my ring would sear my flesh until I screamed. At first, I tried to defend myself, but Mom would just say, "The ring doesn't lie. Only through repeated punishment can your wicked soul be cleansed." After thousands of burns, even I started t

Alpha's Heart, Ana's Fate

Because somehow I realized how much I did not know my mom. I knew my mother as Luna. As a leader. As an icon. But not as a young girl. Not as a friend. But as a daughter. For a whole hour after that, Mara recounted tales. Short tales. Tales which were amusing of my Mom and Dad. Tales which wouldn't make the history books. Tales of how my mother sneaked out of class. Tales of my parents racing each other in the forest. Of my mom climbing up the tree and refusing to get down.

Stepdaughter by Day, Wife by Night

Stepdaughter by Day, Wife by Night

I just started writing. I wrote about the isolation. About being judged for falling in love with the wrong man at the wrong time. About learning to love a child when the world said I shouldn’t have one. I wrote about the moments no one saw—the 3 a.m. feedings, the guilt that came from loving myself again, and the small victories that felt like miracles. It wasn’t just about motherhood. It was about survival.

The CEO's Stepdaughter

The CEO's Stepdaughter

Niccola Fairchild Motherhood does not arrive gently. It arrives in fragments, half-slept hours, sore muscles I didn’t know I owned, a constant low-level hum of responsibility that never fully switches off. By the fifth day home, time has lost its shape. Morning and night blur together, measured not by clocks but by feedings, cries, and the small, grounding weight of Aiden against my chest. I love him so fiercely it scares me. That part is easy. Everything else feels like learning to walk again on a moving floor.

Accidental Surrogate for Alpha

Accidental Surrogate for Alpha

“I’ve just, I’ve never had any women in my life to help guide me through this. I mean there’s plenty of nonsense online, but a billion women arguing with each other about what’s best and which experiences are accurate… it’s just not the same as hearing from someone you trust. Do you know much about your mother’s experience?” I find myself smiling, my mother’s beautiful face appearing in my head. “She used to tell me that story all the time. About how all the doctors were convinced I was going to be a runt, but I proved them wrong and ended up being one of the healthiest, strongest pups they’d even seen. Every time I doubted myself, or felt like a failure, she reminded me that nothing in life

I love this book! I hate that chapters are barely two pages and at this rate I’m probably not going to see the end. For the cost at this rate I could have bought quite a number in physical form. As I have so far spent just under of $100 this is most likely my last Good Novel purchase.
