“I’ve not had a drink like this in years, you know. Where I’m from, there’s not much of this to go around.”
“May I ask where you’re originally from?” Sierra even fluttered her eyelashes.
“Oh – down under.” He grinned. “I don’t have the accent right now, though.”
“I always thought Australians were big drinkers,” she said, leaning towards him.
“Not that kind of down under, love,” he chuckled. With a loud slurp, he finished his drink. He shoved the empty glass across the bar, so hard that it tumbled off on the other side and smashed by the foot of a young boy, of no more than eighteen or nineteen, who was struggling to pull a pint of Guinness to the liking of his rowdy male customer.
