BLAIR

BLAIR

It was the very reason it was also called the Plains of The Dead. That was in the past, because right now there were thousands of them. Zombies lined up in the front with not very good armour. There were also gargantuan zombies behind the smaller ones. Behind the zombies were skeletons. The skeletons were wearing armours that were in much better condition and quality than the zombies. Skeletons were said to be smarter than zombies despite not actually having a brain. Their ability in archery and melee combat made them quite formidable. They may be able to fight, but in the end they cannot do much without coordination.

Dirty Valentine’s Secret

Dirty Valentine’s Secret

darting toward the shadows. From the porches of the shacks, the "Broken Assets" watched them. These were the ghosts of the 2008 collapse—men and women who had been "liquidated" by the banks and the early prototypes of the Audit. They were dressed in layers of wool and scavenged tactical gear, their faces etched with the hard lines of people who had lived in the "Analog Dead Zone" for nearly two decades.

Skeletons Next to the Trash Bin

Skeletons Next to the Trash Bin

It was what I had written during one of the rare moments when I was conscious, before everything went dark. [I still couldn't buy a new outfit. I wanted 100 bucks to buy a nice set of clothes, so I could say goodbye to the world properly. Now, it's clear that's impossible. I used to hate Mom and Dad. I hated them for never caring for me. But now, as I'm dying, all I can think about are the memories from when I was little—when they took me to fly a kite. I was so happy then. If only I could go back to that time, living carefree."

The Dirty Blood Mate Of The Lycan Alpha

The Dirty Blood Mate Of The Lycan Alpha

Third person's pov ~~ As they both swam in the river of the forgotten soul, the water lapped against their skin like a cold, unforgiving caress. The air was heavy with the scent of decay and death, and the sound of whispers seemed to echo through the darkness. Finally, they reached a point where a skeleton was waiting for them, its bony frame towering over the water like a macabre sentinel. "Finally, someone to play with," the skeleton spoke with a clatter of teeth, its voice like the rattle of dry bones. "What are you?"

The Mate Agreement

The Mate Agreement

It’s interesting the kinds of secrets we keep, the hypothesized shadow self we hide from the world, and the nature of the skeletons we hide in our closets. Some secrets -some skeletons, are nothing but dust, some are rotten, with the flesh still clinging to the bones, and some sit in the shadow of their secrecy, sharing the darkness with ghosts of what they once was.

The Omega Luna's Revenge

The Omega Luna's Revenge

I stopped when I saw it. Kael stopped beside me. It was visible the way the bones of your hand are visible when you hold it up to very strong light. Not the surface. The structure underneath the surface. The actual framework on which everything was built. And it was everywhere, not just in this room but perceptible from this room, extending in all directions, the skeleton of the world made briefly visible by the fact that it had surfaced enough to be directly perceived. The fracture ran through it like a crack in old glass. Long and irregular, following no straight line, branching in places into smaller fractures that spread outward from the main break the way damage spreads from an impact p

Marked From Birth

Marked From Birth

"The Hum is the 'Blood,' Kiri, but the iron is the 'Skeleton.' Without the skeleton, the blood has nowhere to go. We aren't wounding Oura; we’re giving it 'Permanence'." The "Forge-World-Oura" became a pilgrimage site for "Seekers of the Solid." From across the neighboring clusters, New Architects arrived, drawn by a primal instinct they couldn't name. They traded their "Light-Forms" for "Heavy-Bodies." They learned the "Geometry of the Gear" and the "Physics of the Valve." Oura was becoming the "Counter-Weight" to the Ascension—a place where the "Abstract" was forced to become "Actual."

My Hockey Alpha

My Hockey Alpha

I brandished the bone saw so the skeleton could see it, then began to lower it. “Which one should I start with?” I said, gliding it along the skeleton’s ribs. “Your arm? Or maybe I should go big and start with a leg.” The skeleton squirmed beneath me, but I was far stronger. Skeletons were the lowest form of the undead; without muscle or flesh, they were incredibly weak compared to most other supernatural beings. Becoming an undead skeleton was a punishment brought about by angering a witch, not a blessing of eternal life like a vampire -- although, some would argue that vampires were more cursed than blessed.

Love this story. It is thrillingly mysterious. The love and lust is palpable. Some of it seems to be written a little immaturely. Maybe that's how the character arc was supposed to relay, and we feel them mature. There are also 2 chapters that are repeated almost verbatim. Otherwise,I'd give 5 stars

This book is so good! I love how complex it is. I’ve been reading it for the past two weeks and just finished it! I’m so sad and so badly hope the author is writing more chapters as I speak! I’ve had a lot going on in my life and head and this book has been the best to help! My bf is jealous of it!
