He ducked some, slightly grazing his hands on the body of the largest among them giving him the assurance that they were real this time. Nick found a narrow tunnel nearby and ran off. He ran, and ran, not stopping or looking back. He tripped on a rotten skeleton almost completely covered with dust. Nick, tried getting up, but realized that he was being held tightly on the ankle by the skeleton. He pulled and pulled, but to no avail. The skeleton popped his head and middle body out of the dust and let out an extremely loud blood curdling scream. He heard a voice; "I will possess you. I need a body now."

The wedding march distorted into a low, vibrating growl that made the marrow in her bones ache. The chapel dissolved. The walls melted into the damp, grey concrete of the Underbelly, then warped again into the cabin.

I was cornered. While the skeleton continued to advance on me, I shut my eyes and shook my head. “This isn’t real… This isn’t real…” The sound of bones rattling toward me was replaced by the sound of those very bones being kicked to the floor. I opened my eyes to see a large figure in the dark, wearing a hoodie with the hood up, standing over the skeleton as it writhed and kicked on the floor. It swiped a bony hand at the figure and slashed it in the thigh, but the figure retaliated by picking the skeleton up by its throat -- well, where its throat would have been, if it had flesh.

"Well, that's not too far, but it will be stupid to go th- STOP!" The skeleton was walking towards the place it died. As if it was trying to complete the "mission" set by David. Who felt a little touched but mostly annoyed at this behavior. "Ok ok, first we need to get you something to fight back, you'll get crushed if you go unprepared...let's start with the crystals, pick up some of them." The skeleton nodded and tried to take a piece of the purple crystal off the wall until his arms dislocated, but the gem remained unperturbed.
