Rio replied while his eyes had a combination of red and blue, a weird fire burned round his back while his clothes burned off and dropped on the ground as Red-Blue wings retracted out from his back and flapped fiercely, a combination of Rio's wings and Sathanas wings while they flapped fiercely. Claws also crept out of his fingers while his hair caught off in flames, a tattoo on his neck as both brothers stared at each others, both levitating on the air.

Let’s see how you fare against two fire dragons, my love.” He growls at her words, then leaps, shifting right over her and pushing his mighty wings down to send him into the air. “I have to take the shirt off, Yhen,” I tell him. “It’s the only way for me to extend my wings.” “Does that warrior suit have a place for your wings to extend?” he asks.

Her eyes continued to search for Long Chen, and when a hand touched her shoulder, Xie Xue's face changed. "Fire body! Red fire wings!" Xie Xue used the power of the Firebird to form a pair of beautiful wings on her back. Long Chen felt the heat from his right hand holding Xie Xue's shoulder, and he immediately backed away from the woman who looked different from before. From what Long Chen felt, the woman was actually using her power to envelop her body in fire that came from the Firebird's power. "I didn't expect your body of fire to be so beautiful!" Long Chen said with an admiring smile as he looked at Xie Xue, who was now completely enveloped in fire.

I would die hated, alone, for something I did not do. Then the sky changed. A blood-red moon burst through the clouds, bathing everything in crimson light. Gasps rose from the crowd. The flames around me suddenly felt different, like they were feeding something inside my chest instead of burning me. I screamed again, but this time it was not just pain. Something cracked open in my back. Sharp, tearing agony. Then pressure. Then... release. Huge ancient wings exploded from my back. Dark, leathery, powerful. They stretched wide, knocking the flames away from me in one powerful beat. The ropes snapped like a thread. I hovered a few feet above the burning stake, wings keeping me up.

“They are witnessing.” Kaelith shook his head slightly. “No. They’re hoping.” The air changed. Not from the storm, but from something else. The prayers rose, not as sound, but as presence. Something unseen, something intangible, gathered and moved toward the sky. Aurelian felt it. His wings burned brighter. Light spread outward from him, steady and unwavering, pushing against the darkness that had consumed the sky. Kaelith raised an eyebrow. “Okay… that’s new.”

Gods. A pair of gryphons soar overhead, their bondeds laughing as they dive through the clouds. Direwolves and their humans moving in perfect sychronizon. One particulary unimpressed frost lynx lounges across a tree branch, glaring down at everyone beneath it like they are personally offending its existence. Further in the distance, Ironclad dragons train with their bondeds, bronze scales glimmering beneath the rising sun. Terrifying, but majestic. For a few silent moments, I simply watch. Because despite all else, I still love them. I always have, even though Aetherion Academy was not supposed to be my future.

My brothers and I materialized out of the way just in time but the force of the flames hit Katrina and her sisters like a whirlwind, knocking them back into the forest line. “Katrina!” Rowen yelled, and he materialized to her side. I didn’t even have time to process what had just happened, before I realized that the entire field was going up in flames around us. “Ice, use ice!” I hollered to my brothers. Instantly we sent a barrage of ice shards and crystals hurtling towards Sage. He was still above us in the air. A large pair of wings made from fire had sprouted from his back sometime in the clutter and he was flapping them wildly.
