He glared at me for what felt like a full minute, breathing hard, his chest heaving like he'd just run a marathon.

And then, slowly, deliberately, he smiled again.
That same calculated, cold smile from before.
Oh good. The villain speech wasn't over yet.
"I know what you're trying to do," he said softly, his voice suddenly calm.
He took a step back, raising his hands in mock surrender like he was the victim here.
Yes, he'd figured me out. I was the real villain in this story. Definitely not the man who tears women's dresses.
