Her eyes welled with tears, and she rushed toward me.
“Aria,” she whispered, her voice trembling.
I didn’t say anything. I just collapsed into her arms, clinging to her like she was my lifeline. A sob broke free from my chest, followed by another. The tears poured down my face, soaking her shoulder. Lena held me tightly, her hand gently stroking my hair.
“It’s okay,” she murmured. “I’m here.”
I cried harder, my body shaking. It felt like I was telling her everything I couldn’t say out loud — my frustration, my fear, my anger. All through my tears.
