Now— I couldn’t cry. My hands trembled, my breath shuddering, but the tears wouldn’t come. My mind kept replaying his last expression before we parted. Then, suddenly, my face crumpled. The first tear slipped out. Then another. Then I couldn’t stop. *************

Looking at them, I can still remember the torture I have experienced from Grace, Damien, Fanny, Gina, and, of course, Cody. I can feel tears prick my eyes which I try to blink away. It seems that these tears are nothing special. It has been a daily routine for me to cry. These days, every time I see these ugly scars, they remind me of what has happened and how ugly I am. Then, I may burst out into tears. I wrap a towel around me as the tears slip out of my eyes, falling down my face like raindrops. I do not have much time to immerse in the sorrow.

"I'm sorry that I haven't been the best of a leader to you all." I sniffed before each words, before controlling myself to try and limit the tears from coming down my eyes. But as I tried more and more from stopping those eyes from watering further, the pool of tears proved to be stronger than all the power left in me. I couldn't control myself, as the pain weakened all the nerves in my body, leaving crying as the only option left to do. "I tried so much, but she's not here. I miss her so so much."

I cry until my eyes feel heavy and no more tears can flow. I’m not just crying for Richie; I’m crying for myself, for my dad, and for every single thing that has been weighing heavily on my heart. Each sob feels like a release, an acknowledgment of the struggles I’ve been facing, and I allow myself to feel every bit of it.

So, I cry some more. The more I cry, the faster his wounds stitch back together. Color returns to his face and his eyes open to look at me as if I am an angel. Trev reaches a hand up and holds my face as my tears keep streaming down.

Oh no. Huge tear drops start staining my pillow.... and any energy I had this morning is gone. I cannot get myself to get out of bed..... I cannot stop crying. How can I do this........
