he asks leaning against the back counter. Hmm. I remember he talked about the sport this weekend after we ate breakfast, but pain and the meds muffled most of what he said. "Um, I know that David Beckham used to be hot." "Really?" he asks with narrowed eyes. I sigh and toy with the lid to my water. "You're right. Who am I kidding, he's still hot." "What position does he play?" Position? There are designated names for people who run after a ball on a grassy field? I researched Ryland, but it looks like I need to hit the Internet again and do my research on soccer if he plans to continue with these types of questions.

Hexes & Howls

Hexes & Howls

H.B.R
The shrill sound of the whistle pierced through the air, signaling the beginning of the team's training session. All but one of the student soccer players were out on the field, preparing for a friendly football match against a neighboring town's High School the following day. All eyes were on Chris, who had stepped up to fill the void left by Zikki, the star football player who was now relegated to the bench.

Blood and Roses

Blood and Roses

" And it still hurts, but I don't want to deal with that. I just want my friend back. I want-" "Aw, little disabled girl is crying." I heard a male baritone say. Then something hits Vanessa in the back of her head, causing it to move forward and smack the table. My jaw lowers, "Vanny, are you okay?" I caught sight of the soccer ball. This school has four sports. Basketball. I got out of my seat. Soccer. American football. And a sport I can't even remember it's name. Vanessa winces, rubbing her head. Tears lower from her eyes and I swear, something snaps inside of me.

It was a foreign language that I was finally getting the knack for. I also saw the respect Joel had explained to me. Rugby was nothing like what little I knew of football. The plays didn’t stop unless there was a penalty called. There were no separate defensive or offensive teams like football. Everyone played continuously. Dirt covered their uniforms and good plays from both teams had fans on their feet.

Mr. Tatto Wants Me

Mr. Tatto Wants Me

"How about a match with me!" The children were busy discussing, then one of them spoke up again. "Do whatever you want, and bring your friend along to make it more crowded!" "Huh? What? Me?" Marra was confused. "I can't play soccer." "Playing soccer is just kicking, Marra. That's easy. Kick all you want and score as many goals as possible. Let's go!" Without waiting for Marra's final approval, North kicked the ball towards the street and pulled Marra towards their challengers, letting the raindrops wash over the two humans.

Running

Running

Devon snarled but I just ignored him and turned to look up at Sam. I was afraid that I would see him standing over us with a gun but my eyes were met with quite a different sight. Dean was holding Sam from behind, the gun was on the ground and everything would have been fine except Lee was on the ground as well. I blinked and saw the blood pouring from Lee's stomach. "NOOO!!!" I screamed as I scrabbled to him. Lee looked at me with sad eyes and I pressed on the wound before rolling him slightly to see if the bullet had passed through. It hadn't and I knew that it was a silver bullet. It would kill him in a matter of minutes if we didn't get it out.

I am super excited to read more. I wanna learn about the special powers Willow has and find out whom she chooses in the long run. There's definitely a love/hate relationship between her and Dean. I feel bad for him but at the same time, I really like Lee. Hurry up with the new chapters already!!

This was a fantastic story! Well written, flowed well, and loved the different POVs. Definitely had some twists and turns throughout with a few sad moments, but also had some beautiful, loving moments as well. Also happy with the epilogue & how it tied everything together. Nicely done author! 😊

Goalie

Goalie

"Very quickly, he discovers that being a soccer star means he can pretty much find a willing partner anywhere. It might only be one or two girls in any given high school who are having sex with him, but that's still a lot more than most high school boys. He leans back in his chair and rests his ankle on his knee before continuing. "Now let's switch gears for a minute. Does Santos have any superstitious type routines he goes through on game days? Like hockey players do with No Shave November?" "Yeah. He has some lucky socks. They only get washed once a year so I always made him keep them at the stadium. They smell awful." Justin laughs. "I'm sure. Okay, so just

I hate shopping on Saturday nights. But being the lazy ass I am on my off days, I didn't bother stocking the fridge before leaving on our last road trip. So now I'm out of everything from deodorant to milk. At least it's after midnight. That means fewer people in the store and boxes everywhere as employees stock the shelves. Boxes equal hiding places from unruly soccer fans. Not that there are many in this town compared to, say, football fans. But soccer fans are insane. Really insane. Soccer is the only sport where fans bring drums and horns to the stadium and play them through the entire game. T
