"A few hours. I need to assess Marcus first, map his remaining threads before we go in, so I know what I'm looking for." She rose from her chair, smoothing the front of her jacket with the focused calm she'd developed since her own transition. "I'll go to the cells now. You and Elias use the time to prepare." She left quickly, which I appreciated. Brianna had learned that I didn't need to be handled or encouraged. I needed information and space to work.
