The sonic wave was forcing the quartz plates in their fur to vibrate at a lethal frequency. I watched in horror as hairline fractures began to form along their armored spines. Silas was trying to shatter them from the inside out. Killian roared, fighting against the crushing pressure of the soundwave. He dug his claws into the earth, his silver eyes locking onto the lead truck. He could not reach it in time. The sonic field was too dense, acting like a physical wall of agony.
